I had EIE flatmate once.
I think I'm pointing out all sorts of corrections to their conceptual diarrhea. Connecting dots and correcting wrong ones that were floating around in his head.
He (and I) made lot of mess to point of where we got notifications about cleanliness.

I don't consider it to be a good relationship, but they don't have any conflicts that I know of. My personal opinion is that they both need a wakeup call.
The ILE is not able to let his Ne run freely. The EIE wants Ti so ILE has to adopt to that.
The ILE is secretly in doubt about the relationship, I feel. But because of Fi PoLR it is too painful for him to admit it.
The EIE seems to often be irritated or acting like he is not really pleased with the situation.

I would not put supervision and benefit in the same bag. Benefit are great. In your particular example there are sexual minorities and assumptions of what they are feeling at play which make it not the best example of benefit, imo. Thanks for sharing tho and same at to @unsuccessfull Alphamale
No but they are difficult because they are experienced differently by the persons involved. I don't consider benefit great, been there. I only go for same quadra or semi-dual. That's it.

Given equal intellectual levels, I would think that the ILE could provide a realistic perspective of things that the EIE is already aware of but hasn't thought of in quite that way. ILEs can sometimes prevent EIEs from getting ahead of themselves and doing something rash. However, the EIE should just take the perspective and run with it alone because an ILE will never measure up to EIE productivity standards.......
