    Default Member Questionnaire (mjgonz92)

    Member Questionnaire 1 (mjgonz92)
What is beauty? What is love?
What is beauty? Beauty can be seen in many ways. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, therefore we all have our own idea of it. I choose to see beauty in situations where people overcome difficulties and poor circumstances. I see beauty in everything around me, because I choose to add value to nearly anything in my surroundings. What others might pass off as something small and take for granted, those are the things in which I can see beauty in.

What is love? It's when you finally set aside your own selfish needs/wants aside, to care for someone else.
What are your most important values?
I value knowledge, strength, and determination.
Do you have any sort of spiritual/religious beliefs, and why do you hold (or don't) those beliefs in the first place?
I don't. Although, I won't say it isn't a possibility in the near future. I believe a little more self-introspection needs to be done, and maybe one day I'll know what to believe.
Opinion on war and militaries? What is power to you?
I can see this from any angle. I don't have a strong opinion on military/war, for that reason.

Power to me, is the endpoint in which someone determined enough will eventually be rewarded for all their hard work.
What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
Why people do the things they do, cause and effect of people's choices, how the human brain works, how we all as humans perceive reality in different ways.

I'm interested in science, psychology, researching to understand what comes to mind in any given moment, cooking new dishes (I get tired of the same thing all the time), taking my 3 and 5 year old sons somewhere new everyday to give them a new experience.
Interested in health/medicine as a conversation topic? Are you focused on your body?
    Yes, pretty interested

I'm in tune with my own body. I can always tell when something seems off. But I have a problem where I delay to take care of any problem I think I may have. I also forget to eat because I get absorbed in whatever I'm doing at the moment, and will put it off until I'm absolutely starving.
What do you think of daily chores?
I've always hated chores. I just do them because my kids shouldn't have to grow up in a filthy home.
Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.
Anything that revolves around WWII. Seriously. Even as a child, I was interested in war books and movies. Pretty much the only genre that can keep me interested, other than a good psychological thriller.
What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
I've never been much of a cry baby, until recently. After going through deaths in the family, divorce, moving, and theft from my own home, eventually everything sort of took its toll. My mom told me she could tell I was on the verge of tears for everything I'd been dealing with, and that's when I finally released the tears lol. I'm more comfortable with crying as a release these days, at 25 years old.

Smile? When my kids are happy. When I get a new experience under my belt. Visiting new places. Whatever gives me constant stimulation, and not necessarily physically. More of a mental thing.
Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
Road trips, and at the top of a mountain. But this is usually during harder times when I need an escape.
Other times, I love being out and about. Rarely ever at home.
What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
My parents think I'm secretive. Which may be somewhat true, but I have an incredibly extroverted personality. I suppose I'll pick and choose which parts of myself to put out there. But if anyone asks my opinion, I will give it freely. They ask a question, I have no problem answering. But be prepared for a lengthy answer lol. Another weakness I get a lot is that I over analyze everything in life. I may ask a lot of questions to understand something. I think it annoys others, but I find it necessary anyway. I'm trying to work on it.

What do I dislike about myself? My inability to just take it easy, and relax. My mind is either going a million mph, and it also causes me to move about without taking a seat. I can wander aimlessly. If I ever do lay down, it's from exhaustion because I get very dehydrated and am on my feet all day because my kids.

I also dislike that I can't go to sleep until much later because my brain decides to tell me "hey you might be exhausted, but it's time to learn something new before you can finally get some rest."

I don't necessarily dislike this about myself, but I think I can come off as full of myself. I have a hard time toning it down, yet I know I should.
What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
Strengths? Well one that I've heard many times is my own determination to keep going, no matter what life throws at me. I admire it in myself too, and have a tendency to look down on others that can't do the same. I'm a lazy person, and if I can get through anything, I'm sure anyone could.

I like that I don't hold grudges. I can get irritated about something, but forget about it a couple minutes later. I don't get people that hold grudges.
In what areas of your life would you like help?
    Being more productive lol.
    I need to stop procrastinating.
Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.
I have my moments, but again, I have the determination to pull through anyway. And this is a lazy person we are talking about here haha. Determination is a mental thing anyway. And I consider myself very strong in that sense.
What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
I admire someone that follows through, because I'm terrible at it. Those that keep their word. I never make people a promise, because I know that 70% of the time I probably wouldn't follow through anyway. I admire someone that can provide stability, and that is a big one. I should stress how important that is, because I have a hard time producing it myself.

I also like people that remain calm, and don't react emotionally to situations. I don't know how to deal with strong emotions from others, and tend to look dumbfounded when someone reacts in such a way.

I noticed a tendency for anyone I've considered a friend or someone "marriage material" to be of the ISFJ MBTI type. I think I'm a little silly, random and quirky at times, but they still enjoy my presence and having me around. I usually attract SJ type males in general.
How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?
I love sex. But I know how to separate the emotional part of things from sex. I can be intimate, but it's never in a sappy, extended eye contact type of way. I will laugh if it happens lol. I do require some kind of mental connection, if that makes sense. I won't have sex with just anyone. But if they are able to intrigue me and stimulate my brain, then they can stimulate my body.

Romance is nice, and it would be great to have. But I don't care for sentimental, Hallmark card, expensive dinner date type of romance. Just knowing both people care for each other's well being and will do what it takes to make their relationship thrive and improve is my kind of romance.
If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
I already raise children. I don't do it the conventional way, because my older one has autism and needs extra help. My younger one drives me insane at times with how I can give him anything he needs, but he will still cry and scream just to get a reaction out of me.

What measures do I take? I'm still trying to figure that out, because each day is very different in an autism household haha.
A friend makes a claim that clashes with your current beliefs. What is your inward and outward reaction?
Oh well? Everyone has different beliefs. I try to take into consideration how they might react if I were to challenge their belief with my own, so most of the time I won't say anything, just so as not to offend the other. Sometimes I can still be blunt in my reaction and what I say, anyway. Really it just depends.
Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
Society could be improved in so many ways. I could come up with many ways, but I am not sure I could carry it out.

I see that too many people are guided by their own feelings, and I find it to be a problem. It's not something I think can be changed though.

Social problem? People believe everything on the internet and media. They live their lives by it, as if it's their own bible.
How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?
I choose them based on similar personality characteristics. It's harder to make friends with other women.
I am polite, but I'm very talkative and will discuss anything.
How do you behave around strangers?
Sometimes I can be loud. Other times I'm quiet, depends on setting. I'm just myself though.

Also if this helps any, I identify most with Enneagram 5. My life revolves around understanding EVERYTHING. And asking "why?" to just about everything. I tend to focus on the things most people don't care about and find pointless. Say an article posted on social media. Everyone gets into a very political update about it, but all I care for is what psychologically motivated whoever was involved in the story. I don't care for the politics of the situation.

If this might help, I was once in two forums where an ENTP called me out as the mbti INFJ, based on his conversations with me in the group, how I would react to certain things said, and said he's dealt with women like me before lol. I actually abandoned that group after that because I got tired of how nitpicky and focused on typing me he was. In the other group, an ESTP called me out as INFJ as well.

So I realize the way I answered everything was in a very simple format. That's the problem with having hyperactive kids and feeling pure fatigue, daily lol. I know it's hard for you all to give an accurate answer based on me not providing enough info.

Now if this helps, a problem I have always had (especially with men, and another reason I have no desire for a romantic relationship these days. And that's all I was about as a kid/teen!) is that it's hard to understand me. Not in like an "oh you're so mysterious, let me figure you out!" Kind of way. More that I say very off the wall things OR they don't realize what connection I'm trying to make between my points. It confuses the hell out of them, and just makes the entire conversation awkward, and I end up deciding to change the subject or drop the conversation altogether. I'd say, for someone that talks as much as I do (my stepdad tells me I'm like my grandma and talk 2746278 mph nonstop. When I don't have anything to say, I might not talk at all).

im not sure if this also helps because it goes back to childhood, but my grandma and mom say I started talking a lot earlier than a lot of kids my age, and had a pretty big vocabulary. I always did great in any English subject. Math, oh my I hated math. I'm just now learning to kind of like it. I can recall having a vivid imagination growing up. Instead of going out with friends, I really didn't mind locking myself away in my room with whatever fantasies and thoughts I could come up with. I'm still the same these days, I just don't have time to do anything because I'm stressed 24/7.

These days, even on the go, I will research the hell out of anything that comes to mind. And it wastes so much time. See, I can't even see myself as SLE, because can't they get stuff done? Lol. I've always been lazy. Wanting to dance or do gymnastics growing up, but too lazy to put the effort into practicing. It all sounded much better in theory haha!

Another big one growing up, that doesn't really seem to be that important to me as of late, is my "values." I wouldn't say they are strong to where I feel strongly about them. But they have more to do with always giving whatever I can give to others. I don't care that a homeless person will spend the money I give them on alcohol, it's about what makes them happy, right? I also will not go out for food or coffee without giving them a good tip. I tip everyone, and it bothers me when others don't. Another thing I can't stand is going out to eat and customers being impatient and hurrying the already busy restaurant staff. It probably bothers me more than anyone, that I had to list it here. I sometimes want to call whoever it is out for being rude to others.

I also believe ive always had a great deal of empathy for others, but am currently experiencing an empathy burnout from exhaustion. Last year, I started drinking for the first time to help me get through everything that was going on in life. Probably the worst year of my own life, and when the empathy burnout started. I had no choice but to start focusing on myself and push anyone away that came too close. I had been very distant from others up until very recently.

You know, there's a lot I'm still leaving unsaid unfortunately and I know it doesn't help to do that when typing. Maybe if someone here asks a more specific question? I always have a lot to say, but everything I actually want to say isn't coming out for some reason. Maybe it's the exhaustion lol.

In socionics you would probably be an NF. I am with you on the homeless person thing. I even made a post about it. I don't care what they spend the money on since it might give them another day to live. Maybe the next person they meet will be the one to give them the help I am unable too. Sorry to hear life has been so stressful for you.

Ahhh you are the first I've come across to be the same way. Well, other than my mom. It's a big deal to her as well, and it kind of rubbed off on me, even when I was a kid. I'd give what I have. Nothing makes me more sad than to see that these people on the street could be suffering from an illness of some sort, or a veteran, or whatever life's circumstances were, it forced them to be out on the street. When I see them in groups of other homeless people, chatting, it makes me so happy and I tear up sometimes, because it's like they found a family and they're no longer alone.

See though, this was really difficult to cover on the original questionnaire.

@mjgonz92, you seem pretty IEI to me, too, FWIW.

I see high intelligence, lots and lots of Ni, some Fe, low Se and one or two hits of Te-PoLR. It kind of adds up to IEI.

Not sure if you deleted some posts here... Anyway I did say ENFx, so if IEE doesn't fit, try on EIE.

I did my reading on both IEI and IEE yesterday. Felt I could identify with both and caused more confusion. Then I read EIE and pretty much EVERYTHING about the description fit me to a T. I suppose it's what ENFJ is generalized and stereotyped as in MBTI that I cannot relate to much. Being a teacher? Not for me. Super organized? Yes, but organization is one thing, and messy living because of kids is another. I get tired of picking up messes, so my home looks like that of someone that's never home to pick stuff up. EIE is just very fitting in terms of Socionics.

I think what's causing my confusion these days is the identity crisis that many newly divorced people go through. Add to that, I'm only 25 and being forced to redefine my goals and change things. My severe empathy burnout may have to do with why I think I've been a rude asshole these days. I've never been that way until life started getting harder the past couple years, and I have to prioritize my kids before others. Maybe it is Fe leading that makes me with I could take care of everyone, and then feeling all this weight on my shoulders, thus having to take some off. And I tend to do it in a mean way, and feel bad about it most of the time.

My ex husband always has and still calls me Captain Save A Hoe,
if that hints at anything lol.

Alright guys, I'm going to join the EIE club. Thanks for all the help and I'll be interested in hearing what you have to say on the forum
