Why You Need the 9 Enneagram Types in Your Life

Create a list from experience of why the 9 types are vital.


1 is needed in your life because of accuracy + conduct. Without 1s, we'd live in chaos and cease to strive for progress. Yeah we have 7s/3s but they make it perfect.

2 - because... come on. Their basic drive is being needed, you can't even narrow it down to something here. So many 2s are blessings.

3 - because they increase productivity by 1000%. You can't ever accuse a 3 of not raising the work spirit. Need success? Let a 3 lead the game like Michael Jordan.

4 - when you're emotionally constipated, feeling generic and unsophisticated. A 4 can make you feel alive again. They'll make you see things differently.

5 - to learn about everything.

6 - when you feel like you're currently in court and need a good ass lawyer.

7 - once you're feeling stuck in a rut, bored, sad, pessimistic, empty. Also, same as with 1 - lots of refreshing change is introduced. 7s bring the luscious good life, the enjoyment. Both optimist and pessimist face bad times but the optimist is having fun while doing so. 7 does exactly that. No more bad days.

8 - because things are often in shambles (because 1 isn't there ) and someone's gotta take charge plus brutally honest responsibility. 8s are portrayed/made unpopular, fear-inspiring or vile by the enneagram community but everyone needs an unbreakable asskicker like this. Chances are a magnanimous 8 in your social environment is carrying and confronting all the burdens because they are strong as fuck and hate how vulnerable you are, so they save your ass. No matter how unhealthy, one's gotta give the 8 credit for being made of steel and attacking injustice, even if it's not protecting you but themselves. 8s were made by catastrophes and can therefore master them.

9 - because when struggle and fights strike, they will introduce harmony and smoothness.

I won't make a list, but enneagram fits me like nothing else. I'm suppoused to be an INFP in MBTI but that's not quite true, I'm suppoused to be an EII in socionics but that doesn't really fit... But I'm more than definitely a 4w3

1) Helps prioritizing what needs to get fixed and done. Sees what needs improvement, what can be done better. Critical.

2) Pro-active about filling your needs, even the ones you might not be aware of yourself. Self-sacrifice. Warm, caring.

3) A can-do mentality with a strong goal orientation also helps others achieve heights they wouldn't dare dream! Motivating!

4) Forces you to face your own demons and hurts. Willing to delve into the depths with you, even when you yourself might be hesitant. Soulful and sensitive.

5) A cool and fresh (detached) perspective, alongside an in depth mastery of their focus. What's not to love? Analytical and studious.

6) Making sure that you're sure for sure. Strong sense of loyalty, which shouldn't be mistaken for foolishness, as they are the first to protest bad judgement. Inquisitive.

7) Innovation and exhilaration! They remind you that the only limit is your hesitation. Push the horizon back! The world is your oyster. Playful, adventurous.

8) Be the master of your own destiny. Carve out your life in this world, and don't settle for less! Direct and willful.

9) Sees and accepts others for who they are and where they're at in their lives. Gives space to others to be themselves. Calming, grounding, soothing.
