Default "Stuck in a Mall" Scenario

Imagine how each enneagram type would react when being accidentally locked in a mall overnight. They are completely on their own. Their phone ran out of battery charge and there is no way to access another telephone. The lights are out, the entrances are locked.

What would they feel and do? Which type is more likely to get out with their method?

    Starting with E3:

At first, feels completely pathetic. How could this even happen to them? Doesn't it make them look incapable? After worrying, gets down on the floor and crawls through the isles, which is the most effective and fastest way to navigate in the dark. Then suddenly realizes that they will be recorded on CCTV and stands up again to act professional in order not to become the local laughingstock. Bumps into all sorts of things until they randomly find an emergency exit. Too afraid to open it in case that some alarm goes off, making them look like a robber. Whispering "You can do this" to themselves, decides to build a fort where they can sleep just as the lights are switched on and cops enter the scene to rescue them. It turns out that their E1 friend was already wondering why they were being late and started looking for them, panicked and called the police.

    Continuing with E8:

You may have a scenario in mind, but this is what I would do.

Walk around and test the doors for being locked. I assume it is pitch dark; echo location from your footsteps is pretty good for avoiding walls, but be prepared for steps. If you want be be fairly sure you have covered the entire length of the mall (all options), pick a hand, left or right, and keep it against the wall as you walk. (This works unless you have started on an internal island, in which case, cross the isle and repeat.) Fire Exit doors can be opened from the inside, even when locked from the outside. They are marked by Emergency Exit signs which are lighted by their battery back-ups, even when the power is out. Just push one open, ignore the alarms, and walk to your car.

If the Emergency Exit doors are miraculously locked (welded shut by the evil narrator?), you can return to the mall and find a store with a window to the outside. It is likely to be a clothing store. Choose a small window and a heavy object, like a coat rack or a heavy perfume bottle. The window should be small because you might be asked to pay for it, but that is not your primary concern. The primary characteristic of the window should be that it is breakable and you can fit through it. Smash the window with the heavy object. Aim for the center of the window, which is where it is weakest. Watch out for flying glass. Continue to break the edges of the glass until you can comfortably fit through it. Cover the bottom edge of the window with some clothing from the store, and climb through. Walk to your car. Ignore the alarms. If the police show up while you are climbing through the window, tell them that you got there first and have first dibs on what you guys find inside. *

If there are no stores with outside windows (perhaps the mall was designed by the evil narrator?), you can try setting a small fire with the electricity and combustibles abundantly available. Perhaps it will set off a smoke detector.

If there are no doors, no windows, no fire exits and no electricity, find a food store, have a snack, find a clothing store, make a comfortable bed, and take a nap until someone shows up. If no one shows up, you can break through concrete block with enough time and effort. Block is fairly weak.

    * I actually did something similar to this. I had driven to the mall and gotten a flat tire just as I was parking. Fortunately, I had a spare tire in the trunk, and a tire iron. I got the Mercedes up on a jack, had one alloy wheel on the ground and was taking the other one off the car when the police rolled up. I looked at them and said, "Hey, man, I got here first." -True story.

I would probably just pick up something heavy and throw said heavy object at a glass surface which connects to the outside and is also large enough for me to walk out through. My two cents. The power of introverted intuition never ceases to amaze me.

E7: GEEZ THIS IS FUCKING EXCITING! Life is an adventure!

Just chill and sleep on the most comfortable bed in the mall and eat some foods on the supermarket and wait for the next day for the mall to be opened.

Take advantage of the food, everything around. It's not as if you'll be stucked in the mall every day.

I don't go to malls much anymore but aren't all the stores locked when closed? They have bars covering the entrance. You couldn't get access to any store without breaking the law. Being trapped in one large store like Walmart would be a better premise.

This is why I wish I was a 7 lol.
I'd probably just walk around despondently looking for a way out until I was tired enough to sleep until it opened again honestly

I see. See? You just waste your energy and wasn't able to eat some good food and some wine.

Then, when the police asked you why did u eat or stole from the supermarket ?

Look like a fragile little girl who is afraid, and told them, i didn't know what to do and I'm hungry *crying *

Thanks for saving me..... I was afraid....

You should say that in order to compensate the food, and the drinks you consumed xD

Or maybe if you're bad at acting, pay the prices after.

It's like you just stayed in a hotel who looks like a mall

E1 would likely put things in order there. The 9-wing to keep their calm, the 2-wing to do the staff a favor.

probs 9w1: I would try to recall if I saw any phone charger or any socket I can find or anything I can charge my phone with. At worst case, if there was any phone battery at aisles or around, I would pop one in and call for the police. Paying for a battery isn't as much. If those weren't avaible options, I would honestly still be freaked out but wait the night out somewhere comfortable and 'safe'. (6-fix speaking, maybe?) As I actually love horror stories, my biggest problem wouldn't be so much as being trapped there (they would open up tomorrow anyway, or I would at least have light by the morning so I could write on a glass or find some exit when I can see around.) but it would be not freaking out about all the irrational scenarios and just keeping myself neutral and calm.

Saying that, it would also depend to if I had any place to be tomorrow- If I didn't, I would be calmer than that and if I did, I would spend whole night worrying and trying to find some way to escape without damaging anything if possible.

Edit: Also I almost always keep a full powerbank with me whenever I go out so that really would be a rare case for me to have nowhere to charge it. I am fairly overly prepared, as I even carry an umbrella with me almost at all times (granted, currently you really can't trust the news with weather where I live. There used to be almost no rain in summer here and now it randomly pours cats and dogs and then just it is sunny and hot af again. So just in case.

i would examine the place there might be computers around for public and internet connection so I'd... try to reach out that way.
    Emergency exits.

If not I'd chill and sleep there in the corner as far as possible from sight that staff can not notice in the morning.

It really depends where you get stuck.

I'd freak out first, at how painfully boring this will be and what if I'm stuck in there with a dangerous person and why does this have to happen to me?? I'd sit on the floor and have a fit. Then start walking around looking for a way out and thinking how bad my life sucks and why I keep having bad luck.

I would try to break into one of the stores so an alarm will go off and the police will come and let me out. If there is no alarm, I would try on clothes and look at all the different things in the store lol.
I dont think this question is related to E-type.

    Type 6:

Oh, type 6 has got this. After a brief panic when they realize that the lights are staying off and that for some reason the store has closed when they didn't expect it to, they get to work.

First step, 6 flicks on a pocket-sized flashlight. What pocket flashlight? The one they carry with them all the time, just in case. No extra batteries, though. 6 idly supposes they could get some spares from some sort of hardware store, but thoughts of alarms sounding off dissuade them. They pull out a nutrient bar from their pocket and eat one-third. They're saving the rest for later. By the way, they're really nervous that they're going to get locked in here for weeks and starve. What if it's the zombie apocalypse? Then we'll need to check the map for a pharmacy-wait, no, that's ridiculous. 6 ignores that part.

6 exits the store they were in and darts the light from place to place in one of the center aisles of the mall. They've located the railing, which is good! Typically the maps are near the stairs/escalators. Things are proceeding smoothly. Wheel around and... no map.

    Shit.
    Shit.
    Shit.

8 passes by and looks like they know what they're doing. "There's no map here!", 6 cheerfully cries out, and starts tailing 8. 8 keeps walking. "I'm not trying to murder you or anything, I'm just figuring my way out of here". 8 shakes their head. 6 figures they'll join 8 in the moving-the-hands-along-the-wall method as it's pretty much foolproof. Eventually the two find a fire escape, shake hands, and prepare to open the door.

Oh wait, it's locked. 6 starts thinking aloud. "Well, that just defeats the whole purpose, doesn't it? There's got to be a way out of here. We'll figure it out. We're team practical here. Maybe some way to unlock the door? Or else perhaps we should check out the front, or the side nearest to the street...". They head downstairs.

    8: "Give me the flashlight"
    6: "Why?"
8: "It doesn't matter why, I'm going to get us out of here."

After 6's protestations, 8 reluctantly reveals that they're going to take that heavy vase there and together they're going to pick it up and throw it at that glass door there. 6 balks and lists off all the possible ways this could be constituted as criminal activity and could lead to legal issues and then money's tight so their life would fall apart so anyhow BAD IDEA. 8 tells 6 they're fucking stupid. 6 says give me back my light. 8 says sure, I won't need it anymore because I'm busting out of here. 6 takes the light, yells at 8 that they're goddamn stupid too, and runs off, the sound of a window crashing faintly in the background.

6 panics if they're going to get somehow prosecuted because they didn't stop 8, but reassures themselves that the decorative vase/potted plant could've been constituted as a weapon of some kind and that they were simply looking out for their own life. They spend the rest of the night trying to find somewhere to sleep that looks safe, but can't escape the thought that someone will steal their wallet. 6 stays up till the next morning and found out that apparently the police investigated the broken window while 6 was staking out the upstairs left bathroom. Nobody even realized that 6 was there. They buy a new phone charger, plug it into a wall, and text one of their friends if they can pick them up. After all 6 recently read that driving a car while sleep deprived could be highly dangerous.
