    Lightbulb Evolution of Type

I have some intriguing (but unanswerable) questions as food for thought.
We are starting on the assumption that evolution by natural selection is what has brought all organic life on earth, including humans, to its current state. Types must have evolved. However, is socionics type something unique to humans, or is it part of the natural variation present in every species? Did neanderthals and other archaic humans (whether our direct ancestors or "uncles and aunts") have type? Could the homo sapien system of type have been a significantly contributing factor in our survival over neanderthals, or in one or more of our previous "victories" over rival homos?
All those questions aside, humans have a concrete lineage (even if we don't know it exactly) and so the diversity of type in our population has a concrete evolutionary lineage. I am curious what the mechanism is to determine each individual's type: Is there is a somewhat random 'seed' that determines type, and individual genetic and environmental differences determine the within-type variation? Or are different quadras (SeNi vs SiNe for instance) or other dyadic dichomies (e.g. rational/irrational, process/result) competing against each other (i.e. they are heritable and subject to natural selection)?
From our limited perspective these dichotomies appear to be largely in equilibrium, but it is likely that they are in a constant state of flux. If humanity survives 10,000 years, will we see the same balance, the same spectrum of humanity? In 100,000 years, I predict there will be considerable differences in the socionic makeup of humanity--this is another way of saying that humans will be observably different as a result of natural selection and this includes adaptation. Perhaps certain bottlenecks will create severe changes.
All input and thoughts or tangents are welcome!

Not sure about the answers to those questions, but I've discovered an animal that has sociotypes just like humans: Cats . The implications of this could be very interesting.
