Enneagram Astrology Numerology connections
This theorizes that each of the numbers in the enneagram relates to a heavenly body and explains why, and takes a guess at why these may be in the order they are in

I sacrificed a goat to Zeus and I liked it
I think this is actually the real correlation:
1 - Saturn
2 - Jupiter
3 - Mars
4 - Venus
5 - Mercury
6 - Moon
7 - Sun
8 - Uranus
9 - Neptune
This one is systematically based on nothing more than orbital speed and it doesn't seem half bad to me.

Interesting! I also just found a completely different theory that might be able to co-exist just completely separately from these guys... http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...rology-planets

I think the correct correlations are these:
1 - Mars
2 - Moon
3 - Neptune
4 - Venus
5 - Mercury
6 - Uranus
7 - Jupiter
8 - Saturn
9 - Pluto
This leaves out Sun though (although I think it could correlate well with 3 or 7). I'll try explaining why I think these are the correct correlations:
Type One - Mars
Enneagram Ones usually have a very down-to-earth persona. They are usually concerned with matters of the real world, and their idealism often translates into adopting humanitarian causes they find they can contribute their willpower to. They always see thing to an end, in a very methodical manner. They are "warriors", but at the same time they do not have an atmonsphere of seething anger. They exhibit a very controlled persona. This is accordance with the essense of Mars, which symbolizes they way a person acts.
Type Two - Moon
Type Twos are the epitome of feminine energy. Caregiving attitude, emotionality, the giver that denies their own needs. Emotional needs are symbolized by the Moon, which is the most feminine planet (in a chart it often represents the mother).
Type Three - Neptune
Deception, the most basic trait of typè three. Sometimes they even deceive themselves as well. Neptune is the planet of illusions.
Type Four - Venus
Venus, the planet of values, which fours usually have in abundance. It is also the planet of beauty, aesthetics and love, all aspects of reality that are important to fours.
Type Five - Mercury
Mercury, the planet of thought. Fives are first and foremost thinkers. They are able to analyze and construct theories about reality. They are also very dynamic and ingenious in their theories.
Type Six - Uranus
Uranus symbolizes humanity and your attitude towards society and higher authority. Dependence or independence. In its most negative manisfetation can also symbolize paranoia. It is the higher octave of mercury (rational thought), symbolizing intuition. This is in accordance with how sixes present themselves, always taking sides in an issue, giving in or going against their fears (phobic or counter-phobic), always scanning the environment for threats. Sixes are the best representatives of what it is to be human.
Type Seven - Jupiter
This one is pretty blatant. Adventure, joy, experiences. Higher thought, versatility. All Jovian qualities.
Type Eight - Saturn
This one is a bit tricky. One would be inclined to think that the warlike eights would make for a better correlations with Mars (which we have already seen in type One). Eights are lords of all they oversee. They exhibit all the traits of Capricorn, and by analogy, Saturn. A healthy Eight is by no means a loose cannon, they are masters of applying skillfull pressure to get what they want. They are also very strategic. They avoid vulnerability, talk with imperatives (do this/don't do this), and lay out limits in which their subjects have to move in. Saturn is the planet of challenges (type 8 - The Challenger) and limitations.
Type Nine - Pluto
This one didn't make much sense to me at first, but over time I've come to realize the connection. Pluto is the planet of rebirth and regeneration, traits present in type Nine. It also has a very independent streak, and in their inability to be controlled, they also have a very controlling streak themselves.
To confirm these correlations, I've taken a look at many people's charts and have witnessed how they exhibit prominent planets in accordance to these correlations. That, or aspects/positions that signify a similar essence. A 4w3, for example, would have the essence of Venus, with a touch of Neptune (and this could be found in their natal chart).
