    Default Encouraging blue ISFjs/ESIs

Ideas on how to encourage a sad ESI?

So far I've been doing Fi bonding type stuff, empathy, listening, etc. but I could use ideas from other perspectives.
Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

I have known many ISFjs that were sad or discontent, which is why I wrote the below article. They have to be shown the cold hard facts behind their unsubstantiated perceptions, which is not an NF's strength but an NT's, yes. Once they have the facts, they'll bring themselves out of depression very quickly. Empathy alone won't stop them from stewing.......

Make them change environment, do something else, especially something you know they´re good at.

When I feel like crap I like to do things that will make other people happy and focus my attention to positive things that people can learn and grow from. Whether it be a video where I share knowledge to free massages for people I care about. I just don't see any point in wallowing in my own misery and becoming self-absorbed.

They need a gamma NT to be a badass to them, and tell them all the truths they don't want to face. They will resent it at first, but in the end they will be grateful.

Yeah this. I really need someone like this in my life. The act of taking the time to lay everything on the table directly is what I need. I also appreciate the SLI. But we end up being absolutely ridiculous together.

I usually don't do this with ESIs I feel like it will hurt their feelings to be so direct, but later on, even while I was careful, I realize that I have been direct

People often consider themselves sad because they feel a lack of agency or direction, or because they feel that time is escaping away from them. Abandoning neverending chores etc. and instead focussing on some long-planned pleasurable activities may be beneficial. (It can happen that an individual can do continuous "preparation" for something and never actually get round to doing the thing).

Forgot to add: if you decide to take this approach, be very careful how you word what you say because you risk the ESI breaking relations with you permanently.

I think this has happened to me once or twice or a few times. And yet, life goes on. Lol.
