Default Tips for LIE to be good in friendship

What do your LIE friends do that bothers you? What would you like them to understand?
I seem to be very awkward around people I like. Inappropriate jokes and too much directness. I would like to fix that to seem more professional and easier to interact with.

Displaying appropriate emotions for a given situation is not LIE's forte. They tend to either fall short, or go overboard. The advice I can think of would be to either be very direct and matter-of-fact and come of as robotic (but playing it safe), or try to simulate a beta NF (LIE's are able to "simulate" many behaviors with their role Fe and demonstrative Ne).

But where's the "fun" in life in that? Basically if a LIE were to listen to this advice his life would amount to work for 12-13 hours, fake emotions for 3-4 hours, then eat and go to sleep.

I think it's just better to find the right environment, where you can express yourself the way you are.

Anyway, I believe it may nonetheless be good advice for formal business environments.

The feedback that I get is always being completely biased~

But that's mostly my instinct stacking coming out, my preferences are always strongly defined in an instant which takes away my open-mindedness.

My own thoughts exactly. But I think using too much role function and demonstrative function will ruin dual relations don't you think?

It would be counterproductive to establishing any true relationship since you're not really being like you really are (not using your valued functions), but yeah it is going to especially annoy a dual. In any case, role and demonstrative functions are used all the time on a varying degree and this is the main reason duals tend to pass each other by.
