    Default Advice for INFjs

Excellent idea of UDP. Let's do it here too.
    • Practice not being in control and then notice that you're fine. You will do things that goes against your believes, but that's fine. (I would elaborate on this if I only knew how to put it.) EDIT: Some day I'll rewrite this with lots of Is followed by a moral.
    • Get online. Yes, really. While I've only bumped into a few other INFjs, I have over ten probable INFj friends online. It's good to see others being just as upset and obsessed and with just as weird associations as yourself. They can give me advice on how to deal with things that most other don't even recognize as problems. Plus you'll get tons of new recipes. Look for boards that discuss your hobby or interest and you'll find them. Just watch out for all the meanies.
    • When around strangers, try thinking and smile sometimes even if it's annoying, especially in situations like when approaching ESTps in retail. You will be rewarded.

My advice comes strictly from dealing with my mother:

Don't get your feelings do hurt. We Ts really do like what you got us for our birthday/christmas/any occasion. We really do. We really like you too.

Your inanimate objects don't have feeelings so don't worry about hurting them.

If you have to ask if you were mean enough on the phone to get your point across to whomever you're mad at, then you probably weren't.

Don't forget that we love you

To digress a little, regarding what Pesto had mentioned earlier on, I don't usually make friends online. I prefer to know and talk to someone face-to-face 'cos I've always thought it's the best way to know them. But since many are making friends online these days, I guess I might consider about it.

Btw, good suggestions, pesto and oyburger.

Absolutely, but I study technology so practically everyone I know is xxTx, except the ESFps. Sometimes I get overloads and want to scream. Sometimes I have. So it's nice to get some balance.

The only INFj I know is however at the university, but she's my career counselor.

    - Don't put up with relationships/situations that aren't working out, especially when you know that you need to move on.

I'm not INFj, but, just from some experience with them.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

~a certain mysterious power that may prove terribly fascinating to the extraverted man, for it touches his unconscious.

    Hmm, amusing thread.

I've had some suprisingly good success with the very first suggestion. Must take note to get into those kinds of situations more often, mm?

I also do the 'not looking at the person to whom I am speaking'. I've always considered it to be a visual note of deep thought, though I can see how it might be construed as aloofness by others.
