Well?
Well?
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...

I think it is pretty clear that he is ENFJ, he does everything for shock value and is pretty far out there, I really don't see as being a possibility for role function.

As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.

IMO the general trends in his lyrics and methods of self-expression, both verbal and aesthetic, point to Ne/Si. I won't go into a full lyrical analysis right now, but if you look at the image he portrays, he very DIRECTLY appeals to Si and Fe by way of trying to literally offend people's senses: the grotesque makeup and flamboyant clothing, the eery getups; also a lot of attention is payed in his songs to these very Si oriented sounds: for example, the beginning of Sweet Dreams, or The Last Day on Earth. I don't think an EIE would pay that much attention to Si, quite frankly; sure they often project images like Manson does, but the focus is usually the exact opposite, of minimizing grotesqueness or any kind of potentially shameful method of self-expression.
A comparable Beta NF would be Eminem, who stirs up social controversy with his lyrics, general demeanor, and attitudes on particular subjects, bashing people or threatening to kill them; contrast with Manson, who gets people riled up by making them uncomfortable in an almost physically tangible sense, making more references to the physical act of sex or inflicting pain, or the subjective experience of being on a drug, and just talking about things in a way that most people consider generally deviant. In short, Eminem gets at people by being directly oppositional and tends to produce a specific impact, whereas Manson provokes a wide range of reactions primarily by being perceived as abnormal and deranged.

EIE makes sense, even more so by the women he's been involved with. I think both Evan Rachel Wood and Dita Von Teese could easily be LSI's

No. Did you?
(I wrote a long, detailed response to this topic last night, and as I was about to submit it it, my computer crashed... Ah well... Maybe later...)
All I'll say for now is--and I mean no offense, Gilly--you're attributing things to Si, which have nothing to do with it... Your examples ooze Fe, not Si... (Despite Arch Alerion's (et al) attempts to make alpha sound like beta, and Si to sound like Fe--thankfully, the im elements are still the same as when they came from under the iron curtain... ANyone who tells you that the scenery of NIghtmare Before Christmas/marilyn manson's music is Si has NO IDEA what they are talking about as re: Socionics.
I'd explain in greater detail now, but I have to go pick up my bros from the Cape for Thanksgiving...
I think alot of Mansons philosophy has to do with desensitizing people to Si. It wouldn't be difficult to explain his antics within the context of his polr being Si.
Didn't we already unanimously agree on INFp a couple years ago?
you were unanimously wrong
The guy is obvious alpha to me, maybe stereotypically beta NF like every artist is on this forum.
