    Default hello everyone!

hi everybody! I lurk on these forums every once in a while, but I didn't think to join until today.

a few questions for any regular members: how do you feel about this forum? is it welcoming, or do you think it's more intimidating? just trying to get a feel for how it is to post here.

I think that this forum is more of a family environment because people here are generally good people who have good intentions and we actually meet each other in real life so we can build relationships all over the world

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Welcome, @hag! Most of us are pretty damned welcoming. I should mention that there are always a few distasteful people who occasionally post here, but you’ll recognize them pretty quickly. No one likes them, so just ignore them.
