    Default ISTp Samurai

Hey guys I'm back from around the socionics world and converted from ISTp to ENFp. Well many people say I'm ENFp so I'll stick to that now (what flawed logic).

When I think of super skilled samurai I think of ISTp's for a reason. They're swift, they're cold, they're good with the blade. Don't you guys think that Si just goes with a samurai sword? I watched an anime "Samurai 7" and caught at least 2 ISTp's out of the 7. They were among the better ones, or in fact the best two. Sadly one died by gunshots. Boohoo.

Now I'm going to leave for a friends wake, he just passed away yesterday and it's so freaky. Left me only mildly shock, didn't really feel anything afterwards, makes me wonder if I'm really an F type...

You sound ENFp. The self-deprecation, the flying off at whacky tangents and then flying back on topic again, the general likeability, the "oh btw here's a theory I just came up with"s, the worries about whether one is sympathetic enough.... whatever type you are, I think you'll get along with ENFps.

Yep, Cat said it. You still seem very ENFp to me. I mean, look at your sig.

"I like warm and furbly stuff. Especially blue blades. You?"

    Not very ISTp

Well the thing that people say about me that makes me think I'm ISTp is that I have very high physical tolerance, I am able to take pain to a certain degree, and sometimes I can work physically very hard. Another thing they say is that I'm emotionally inhibited, that I don't really express or even experience feelings much, and so I'm really hard to get to know in real life. Outside, I barely talk. What do you think guys? And yeah I'm really quite young, still a teenager like the phase most of you have already gone through.

I like eating meatburgers though. I think they're yummy and juicy and really tasty on the inside. Yumyum

About the not talking, being hard to get to know, and not expressing many feelings: hm, I relate to that. I was like that when I was your age. One reason was, I had a depression. Being depressed = being reserved, hardly ever talking, feeling "numb", not having a great range of emotions (other than despair, boredom and all that other crap). So, if you're in a situation you find draining and exhausting, or if you've got a depression, that might influence you.

Plus, ENFps are called the most introvert of all the extravert types, so it's probably not that unusual for us to be a bit quiet sometimes. I know other ENFps on this forum have said they feel kind of shy in company and can come across like introverts (observing rather than taking part, being a bit quiet, being inobtrusive). Once they know everybody and feel comfortable, that changes. The stereotype about ENFp seems to be that we just LOVE company and are the "life of the party", but from what I've heard the reverse is true. Many of us seem to be so hyper-aware of people and people's responses to them that it's kind of exhausting, and we need to be alone to process all the information and protect ourselves from sensory overload (or should that be "intuitive overload"?).
