Because I didn't even turn in a lot of my homework at all because of laziness. Even then I still got mostly A's and B's with the occasional C, which would of been better obviously if I turned in all my work. I usually aced the in-class test themselves without problem. I'm still quite young however and have only completed high school, so admittedly I can't say for myself how difficult high level universities are.
I'm not necessarily trying to say SL, mega or anyone else who has a degree isn't smart of course. I would imagine there is minimum intelligence threshold one must past for such places, and definitely do think there exist a correlation between someone's IQ and the highest level of education achieved. But, I would argue having a high amount of determination can make up for a lot of lacking intelligence, enough to be able to make most people be able to pass all but the very most difficult of courses. Therefore I think it is pointless to try to use academic degrees as a way of determining who is smarter than who. You can be in the top 1% IQ percentile range but still have no college degrees simply because you dislike school or don't see the need.
