I prefer the compatibility combinations suggested in this article: http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...tual-Stackings
In my experience, their descriptions and flow theory have proven to be accurate.

The matches suggested by Project Evolove do not go into any depth, nor do they explain why they would be good. This reminds me of the MBTI and Keirsey pair matches, which Project Evolove also mentions on their site as "ideal".

i like the flow theory too. personally, Syn-flow characteristics and matches make a lot of sense when i look at my own relationships as an sp/so, as well as assessing the "direction" of all 3 of my instincts.

i think some people might get some benefit out of this article, especially if they haven't previously looked into compatibility theory for instincts. though i could also see people who've already looked deeply into this not getting much out of the article. the message at the top is meant somewhat as a disclaimer, i.e. read other sources to learn more! hence why some links to threads and other articles are included.

the basic idea behind Project Evolove's descriptions, i.e. that you'll be compatible with someone who shares your same stack, or either your first or last instinct, is pretty standard thought from what i've seen. but different sources will say different things. one enneagram blog i read once had listed several compatible instincts for each stack. when i get to sp/so, the only compatible instinct listed was "sp/so" i guess i can see why some people might say that though, lol

Thank you!! I haven't even read 1/4 of this article and I already know my stacking.

    Yeah. Right.

How's your husband by the way?
    I want to be ISTp.

These people often have an earthy, mysterious quality to them. They are slow to commit, but once they do it is with an attitude of life commitment, to the establishment of an impermeable bond. Others can be taken aback by how suddenly and completely this type can lock into them, and by the depth of understanding of the other’s condition. They attach to others at an organic, root level, in contrast to the other subvariant’s surface formality. The sanctuary of home is of paramount concern, and this type takes particular delight in decorating their spaces to reflect their cherished sense of taste and depth. Depth and discrimination characterize this stacking.

Motivation: to live in a secure, comfortable environment where they can pursue their private interests in depth.

Most of the sp/so stuff rings true for me, except for the section on careers. In that respect I'm more like sx/sp.
