I can see where a lot of people would like that, or should I say, might be fascinated by it, in exactly the same way that they are fascinated by car accidents and the potential sight of something horrible that is not part of their daily lives. This orientation of the show brings in one demographic, and the nudity brings in another. I'll bet that the show makes a lot of money.
Personally, the hour or two that I spent watching it was enough. I don't need to do that again.
There was a game show host in the 70's who had a number of shows on television simultaneously. They were very popular, and he became fairly wealthy. After he retired, an interviewer told him that he thought he had great insight into the human psyche, and if television didn't have rules about what they could broadcast, what kind of show would he make, in order to draw the greatest audience? The game show host replied that he would roam the studio audience with fistfulls of dollars, looking for people who were together, and would then offer them increasingly large sums of money to do something horrible to someone in their group. Like kick Grandma down the stairs, for some amount of money. The game show host said that a show like that would be a real winner, but of course, he would not be allowed to do it on the live television of the time.
That was then, this is now.
