Green and purple can totally go together.

When I was in 8th grade, I found myself in Art Class, sharing a table with Elaine S., who was really cute but I was too shy to tell her that I liked her. I was a total science nerd and completely at sea with respect to girls. I think I came off as a jerk, because when I started to comment on how much I liked her project, she said “Stop right there. I don’t want to hear any criticism.” And with a shock, I realized that being critical was how I normally behaved. And at that moment, I stopped being critical.
Anyway, my own art project was a group of tall, slightly swoopy triangles randomly arranged on a square base about 100-125 mm square. I randomly painted the individual sides of the triangles either green or purple. Some school official high in the hierarchy “borrowed” it and never returned it.

I later found out that colors mean things. In particular, purple is “deep, hidden thought”, which was how I thought about Elaine. Green is a “safe haven”, or “I know who I am”, which is how I felt when I was around Elaine. The triangles looked like thorns, which is how I felt about relationships.

Art class was so much fun.

I like green and purple. It's hard to do but that makes it better when someone does it.

All i ever see women around me wearing are leggings, furry adidas flip flops, and tank tops. No one ever dresses up. I don't know if it is because it's so hot here or what, but there is like zero fashion sense here, which..i'm not complaining because it doesn't matter to me whatsoever, it's just odd. It was so different when I lived in Charleston S.C.. Everyone wore their sunday best to do basic everyday tasks like grocery shopping.

Okay, well this is a Nike one, but you get the idea. I see girls wearing these with socks and sweats and I feel better about myself for actually trying to look decent.

Maybe you weren't critical to begin with and she was just shy too.

And with a shock, I realized that I had a few trillion dollars in my bank account.

She was shy for sure. I liked her, maybe more than I allowed myself to admit. I sometimes think of her and wonder what she's doing now.

And with a shock, I realized that I was in a place I never thought I'd be. And you may ask yourself, How did I get here?
