Movies rarely make much of an impact on me but I think Dear Zachary definitely has and so I thought it deserved its own thread. I don't recall ever being so genuinely broken up over a film...honestly, could not stop crying. I don't think it was necessarily edited very well...it was just....WOW. The only other documentary that has effected me this much was Restrepo.
If there's been a thread on this already, apologies. I thought it would be interesting to get some discussion going on it if you've already seen it. If you haven't, maybe this will get you to see it. I don't recommend reading the backstory because it would take away from the experience, imo.
It's available on Netflix, btw. If you've seen it, what did you think?
..also, wasn't there a movie sub-forum? What happened to it?
