Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

there isn't really a typical look... it varies lot for any type depending on subtype, Etype, stacking and other factors.

for this girl I would guess SEE > ESI (sp/so)

the rational/Fi sub ESIs often get this squinted, guarded "centurion" look that is captured in Filatova's portraits: http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...ortraits-Gamma

I also think the woman in the OP looks more SEE, Fi subtype, than ESI. I have an idea of a typical ESI look, at least one variant of ESI, but can't immediately think of many famous examples. I'd say the most immediate example that comes to mind is Jennifer Beals. And maybe that one angel chick from Touched by an Angel.

The girl in the op looks irrational ...there's a certain finesse in her features ... too relaxed, too casual ... SEE-Fi or IEI/IEE something.

I think what's been posted here is a great indicator for the feel OP is looking for. Don't worry LIE usually make us smile and laugh. I see smiles and laughs like everything else. If you're funny I'll laugh. Its annoying when guys say ''smile more" I'm like "be more pleasing" anyway our faces resemble very clearly what we're feeling. Allot of times we're thinking about problem solving or deep questions. Good conversation is all it takes.

I really agree with Stromae, the musician in the yellow shirt, being ESI and having an ESI look

Just saw Coffee in Berlin/Oh Boy and I think Tom Schilling might hit the mark for ESI:

Ouch man!! I'm not sure how you can say that without being offensive. It kind of just is offensive.

Yes, it's a bit of funny comment right? How should an ESI respond..

where do you find these guys who tell others to smile more? that's so off-putting and controlling. it would quickly be a non-relationship between us. luckily I've only keep hearing of them, none of the people I've met haver ever attempted to order around facial expressions of others like this.

does this person ESI?

"Am I INFJ or ISFP?!
this has been confusing me for the longest time. i've read through both types extensively and i'm still stumped. what are some of the major differences between the two?

i'm a guy. 100% overthinking introvert, but i force myself to put on the phony extroverted act when i'm out in the world because i don't want to be thought of as boring.

can't relate to anyone. 100% outsider loner.

have an extreme appreciation for aesthetics/beauty in nature to the point of feeling overwhelmed walking outside. very socially anxious. i dress fashionably, but understated. not too flashy, but obviously different. sort of like Johnny depp. i do care very much about how i look, but hate being seeing as "trying too hard".

i am always thinking about the human body and am super aware and appreciative of my heart and all the processes going on inside of me. when i'm at the grocery store or on the bus i will be looking around at everyone, amazed at how they all have these astonishing things going on inside of them allowing them to be alive. i have an elitist, condescending view on the general population because i see people just walking through the grocery store on their cell phones without a care in the world, unaware of the extremely important, intricate bodily processes going on inside of them. it is obviously an extremely unrealistic expectation of mine for everyone to constantly be in awe every time their heart beats, but i just feel that our eye sight/breathing/hearing is VERY overlooked/taken for granted until we start to lose it.

i am extremely perceptive and aware of others and believe other people feel uncomfortable around me because i can figure their entire being out in just a short time sitting with them.

i'm not easily fooled.

if someone insults me or goes against my values, i can and will completely shut them out of my life and never see them again, forever. even a semi-close family member. don't care. you get around 3 chances. if you're still shitty to me after that you're gone. i rarely forgive.

i was absolutely terrible at history in school because i didn't see how remembering the birth date of a president or knowing the outcome of some ancient battle was going to be useful in my lifetime.

i take my time with everything. slow-moving. don't rush, no matter what the situation.

buddhist views.

my life would be nothing without music.

i can stare at a cat drinking water or a bird eating seeds for 30 minutes and not get bored admiring the extreme details such as the way the bird blinks, the cat's whiskers, etc.

i'm also very much a realist. i see things how they are, warts and all. never lie. will admit when i did something wrong every time.

i will post more. i hope i didn't come off as narcissistic or anything! thanks.

oh, and i also very much agree with the quote, "Nowadays people know the price of everything but the value of nothing".

The functions are correct for ESI. MBTI ISFP is Fi/Se, much like the socionics ISFj. Trouble is the mbti ISFJ is known as the "guardian". ISFJ functions are Si/Fe like an SEI. Apparently there isn't much correlation so I'm confused by how the two systems meet up with introverts?

I can relate to much of the above description. Except: the 100 loner bit. And the non-forgiving part. That just seems pretty immature developmentally. And the non-rushing parts. I can rush. And I can and do lie. I think this last part is a product of upbringing and how I survived. I can remember the first time I told a big fib. To a teacher in grade 2. I felt shame about it for years. I consciously make an effort to be authentic, even to my sometimes detriment. Integrity counts for a lot in my life.

Hmmm. Could the difference be due to gender/age....?
With my ESI ex, I can see him in his own way qualifying for the on-his-own thing, non-forgiving thing, and not-wanting-to-rush thing.

Yeah
The thing is, from my perspective none of those things were really vices to me.
I could see how some people could see it that way. But they can represent (a maybe latent) integrity to me.

Depends on who the ESI is around. Remember that ESI is warmer amongst those we're close with, and more stern and cold around those we aren't close with.

That said...obviously, someone on camera to be sexy for an audience is going to be deliberately portraying a certain look. Coming on screen being stern isn't going to get you good views. Broody serious face is only considered attractive by society when men do it.

They don't...Fi is different from one system to the next, Se is vastly different from one system to the next, Si is different from one system to the next, etc. That's why you will see some ESIs who fit types besides ISFx better. I myself fit Socionics Fi and not MBTI Fi; I type as ISTP in MBTI and ESI in Socionics. (I also think MBTI is a trash system, though.)

1/16th of the population looks like this.
The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

Lol, tbf, ESI is probably more common than that. What is the special snowflake 0.01% type of the Socio that every Enneagram 4 wants to be?

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

I know at least four EIEs, but honestly, they are harder than most types to "see". They can blend in to their surroundings very well.

It is easiest to see them when they are in the company of an LSI. The LSI looks like a prison guard or a career military officer, and the EIE looks like a gay cavalier. This it true regardless of the sex of either of them.

I myself fit Socionics Fi and not MBTI Fi; I type as ISTP in MBTI and ESI in Socionics. (I also think MBTI is a trash system, though.)
That's fundamentally incorrect, unless you go off of Model Aestrivex and Ibrahim (rather than actual model A). Aushra's descriptions of Fi are virtually indistinguishable from those the MBTI crowd adheres to.

If I entertain the whole VI thing that I don't actually subscribe to...

I'd say this is an example of how a colder/more guarded ESI-Se may look, such as when they are alone around strangers in public or something...especially if the environment is for some reason seen as more hostile. I am referring to the "unapproachable" side of them here...when that "friendly curtain" isn't concealing it.
ESIs' attitudes towards others are commonly characterized by skepticism and distrust...They may by nature adopt a standoffish, confrontational attitude in lieu of a conciliatory one, which may in fact only serve to aggravate their emotional conflagrations. At the same time, however, they may see their judgmentalism as hypocritical and strive to treat others with reciprocity and fairness rather than preemptive judgments. In this way, their behavior can be an internal conflict, oscillating between the predominance of a curtain of friendliness and a core of distrust. Most commonly, ESIs hold an air of both amicable receptiveness, but also one of penetralia and unapproachability.

the rational/Fi sub ESIs often get this squinted, guarded "centurion" look that is captured in Filatova's portraits: http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin/content.php/153-Filatova-portraits-Gamma
