Future advice for younger SLEs/ESTps

Ok I know you aren't going to like it because I hate to be treated as a "child", but put it in perispective. I'll also be very short.

Around 18 you'll arrive at a point in which two paths are likely to emege: booze, friends and sports and up and downs in happiness, or development of physical and mental attributes, but paying the price of an hardness of charachter that might render you less spontaneous (UNLESS in company of an INFp. In those moments you'll revert back to the child ).

In my experience, that child never actually goes away for ESTps, and in fact for all types. I've found that we are all exactly the same person inside as we are when we're 13. This hardening of character happens with almost everyone at some point during adolescence. It's usually a veneer, and we often mistake it for the real McCoy. It's a safety mechanism we all use to deal with people who may see the world differently. We are all different hews, with different mindsets and values and personalities, and we'd blind each other completely unless we paint ourselves in a gray, monochrome coat - a catch-all color that's easier for mass consumption, deal with, but isn't much fun.

Then again, I'm INFp. What do I know about ESTps?

My husband chose the latter, he's not as happy as often as he was when he was 15, running around setting things on fire and doing every drug in sight, but he's healthier and safer.
