Jackson Pollock

his style makes me think alpha, and based on VI I'd say rational > irrational.

Feeling fucking fantastic
For me, his paintings have such a shocking visceral impact. He's someone whose art I didn't fully understand until I saw a Pollock in person and was overcome by it. The most affecting painting I'd ever seen.
He also was very technical and methodical, wasn't he? He painted with freedom, but the planning was orderly and the execution rhythmic.
Not sure what type I will think of for him ...

Feeling fucking fantastic
So I noticed that someone tagged him INTj on Socionix, and I agree with a lot of the typings there, or if I don't agree or am unsure, I think I at least understand some of the reasoning behind them. But I don't understand why he'd be INTj. On a personal-bias level, he reminds me of no INTj I've ever met.
On a sketchy-evidence level ... In his own words, he was expressing his feelings on canvas, and some of his statements seem Ni-valuing to me. As I said earlier, it seems to me he goes for impact ... He called modern art a confrontation, and I may superficially be associating those values with Se.
@Galen, @mfckr, dunno if either of you is attached to the Socionix typing, but why would he be INTj and not, for instance, ISFj? @anybody.
Quotations that get at what I'm asking about
"The modern artist is working with space and time, and expressing his feelings rather than illustrating."
"Every good painter paints what he is."
"The modern artist ... is working and expressing an inner world -- in other words, expressing the energy, the motion, and other inner forces."
"The strangeness will wear off and I think we will discover the deeper meanings in modern art."
"Bums are the well-to-do of this day. They didn't have as far to fall."
