Default adding mushrooms to my spaghetti sauce

do i have to cook the mushrooms beforehand when using in spaghetti sauce out of the jar? never added them before to my spaghetti and spicey sausage bachelor chow meal at the moment I'm thinking i just chop them up out of the refrigerator, then throw them in the sauce as i'm heating it.

Just throw it in and put it on slow cook so the sauce doesn't burn on to the pan. The order doesn't really matter.

that's pretty close to what i did. i saute'd them in veg oil for a few minutes on med-high heat, then threw in the sauce + garlic powder (didn't have any real garlic), a bunch of parm, salt, and pepper and let it all simmer on low for a few while sausage cooked on the forman grill, then sliced up sausage and dumped it + sausage juice runoff into the sauce and let that simmer for a little longer.

addition of mushrooms into 12-minute standard meal successful

I fukin love mushrooms to go in or on every meal.

Usually I barely cook them bc I'm doing the raw veggie thing but I also like to saute them in bit of sugar esp when adding it to a meat sauce.

The texture does get rubbery if you over cook it so fast seared saute is good then add the sauce and let the flavors marry for a bit o a low heat simmer yum

Cooking mushrooms release glutamic acid(basically MSG without the salt), and that's what makes it delicious!
