For those that do give a paragraph of justification, It's rare to see anything more substantive than you're X because you remind me of Person Y. You're not even applying Socionics theory when you do that.
Socionics information elements are cognitive properties analogous to other elements of cognition such as the five senses. Like the five senses, they define how we perceive and what we perceive, not how we choose to act on that information.
Giving someone a type based on their social presence isn't altogether bad: mental limitations do extrude into behaviour and people can and do fit certain stereotypical patterns. But as a means of typing, it's a roundabout and error-prone technique, made more so by the contrived social atmosphere of an online forum.
It's much better to teach someone Socionics and have them type themselves. The differences between intuition and sensing are so obvious from the POV of someone experiencing them, likewise with logic and ethics, etc.
