I believe I've only ever known LSEs for short periods of time, and where it matters most to me, I can't specifically think of any female LSEs I've known. This is possibly partly due to an inability to recognise LSEs, the fact I've only considered myself in EII terms for a few years, and the comparative rarity of females LSEs.

There was a girl at school who I had a crush on for years who I typed as LSI and I do wonder if there is something meaningful in that in terms of general demeanour (it mostly wasn't lust!).

If by dualized you mean have you had extensive and prolonged contact with your duals, then the answer is no, I'm not.

I used to, the problem however is that Beta STs like to live on the fringes of society. So many estps for example live in prison.

I am pretty certain my true romantic partners are all locked up somewhere. And so its this double-edged sword. I don't really feel comfortable completely abandoning my freedom just to be around people who really mesh well with me and understand me on a huge level. Because, most of the beta quadra sucks and can't seem to hold down a normal job and have a decent life. Everything just has to be this dramatic and drawn out fairytale or sth.

I work with alphas. It's nice. I can't really share my True Heart with them or anything, like I can my beta homeboys... but it's compatible enough to get along in a business, robotic sense. Idk. One day I'll get tired of being a productive member of society, will troll the world again and get institutionalized by another delta-run organization that is keeping betas as labrats because I'll miss my beta ppl too badly.

I actually knew an estp myself who went to prison, and yet it was over nothing serious, just stupid shit that he could have prevented himself from doing but didn't. And in fact, I don't believe any of his crimes were out of necessity but simply for the kick.

I don't consider myself a highly dualized person. I'm usually lonely, although I've developed a rather large network of IRL friends that alleviate the pain of lacking deep connection to some degree. I wish much of the time that I could simply switch off that desire to have that kind of relationship simply so I wouldn't have to feel the pain of it. It was so easy to ignore when I was a kid. Before late adolescence, I never really felt the desire to have friends either. I'm not sure how that changed. The funny thing is that I often look for a relationship when I know for a fact that I should probably have other stuff on my mind. It's one of those things I've gotten stuck on. It's ironic because two years ago, I was totally anti-relationship.

Yes, that is exactly what is so aggravating about it, you know they have the power to make better choices/do something different but they don't really ever do.

Aw. ((((eldanen)))) Well an issue for gay men I think is that a lot of the lifestyle is so compartmentalized. You can sort of go to emotional drama forums like this one and other places for a cutesier type of poetic love, but it gets divorced from visceral sexuality. You can go to manhunt/grindr to get your rocks off but it's about as emotionally fulfilling as watching paint dry. So a lot of it still isn't very integrated yet. I just read some of the most hateful, vile crap [some] straight people have written about seeing Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend. When it blows over and they get used to it, we'll have more of a chance. We've come a long way but America is still disgustingly homophobic compared to many other parts of the world.

You're right. Sometimes I test people in the rural South where I live, especially the young people. I'll tell them exactly what I am with an attitude of, "Try me and see what happens."

I guess I'm dualized enough. Lol sometimes I wonder if dualization has any use for alpha irrationals, since both are such spazzes. But at the end of the day, I've come to grow really fond of alpha- when I learned socionics it was from an SLE girl I was very close to, I always wanted to be beta so that I could be her dual. I think you do feel a little bit better when "dualized"- like in any given situation, instead of freaking out, I will think "there is probably an Ne way out of this. I don't know what it is, but it's there" and that leads to a calmer worldview.

I often want to cut off my so-instinct because it hurts me so much.

And this is true, in my experience. Half the Beta men and women I know, irl, are in jail, prison or dead because of their desire to live on the fringe. I question why I am still here all the time. I am either really lucky or I have an angel on my shoulder that battles the devil on my other shoulder. I am tired of sending commissary money only because I forget and then they're fucked unless another friend remembered them. Still, I am loyal to them and try to remember to send them books, money, or other permissible items...now I can even send emails. The only thing I stopped doing was visiting since not only is time consuming, it was completely depressing to talk behind the glass or put in a room to talk on a video cam. They might as well set up internet visitation centers if they are just going to make you talk on cam anyway. Sorry for the tangent. In the past year I had two people get out of jail and 4 go to prison and others just died or are awaiting trial. I try to keep my ass in the house now and out of the streets. The best option for me is to socialize on the internet for now...if I want to talk to new interesting people.

White, working to middle class area but it doesn't matter since I travel to find the fringe (which happens to be a couple of towns over or in Tampa) and I can find it no matter where I go... or better yet, it finds me in the establishments I have hung out in with friends.. Even when I joined this site I was drawn to the fringe types...

My friends resemble a combination of the two different groups in the video links, irl.

So how are we defining dualization? Just simple exposure to and interaction with a dual? By that metric I've gotten on with plenty of SLIs in the past, so sure?

I define it as going towards increasing psychological health and satisfaction, and being able to have more positive interactions with people of your own quadra and others over time.

So being dualized is synonymous with being happy then? Seems a little short-sighted.
I don't interact with many SLIs nowadays except for the one I'm hopelessly crushing on

Dualized people are better able to serve their own super - id needs. A person who hasn't had the presence of a dual will emit more helplessness and naivety in these functions, and it will be more unconscious. They are more vulnerable to manipulation here, too.

I guess I'm dualized (assuming I'm LSE). Life is certainly a lot easier and happier now on whole. Sometimes I feel unchallenged though.

Lol no. Did I say that? Dualization can result in happiness. But it's not that.

This is the kind of question that I no longer even remain ambivalent about answering. In a previous life, brother, I might have said how I was contemplating the relative typing of myself with my significant other but these days not so much. The element of being dualized or whatever term you might decide to call it is simply no longer viscerally relevant. It might have a cognitive significance but I'm not particularly worried about it.
