This was good, like Blade Runner for kids.

Again, that same Lady (I think her first name is Aimee) watching Rambo II this time (I've already watched her watching Rambo first blood). I really like her (in fact I think I might have a crush on her ! ). She's really spot on with her "analysis" and critics (+/-) I think she's a quadra mate (either my identical or my mirror) because we think similarly, have similar movie (and musical apparently) tastes and see things with a similar approach. She's very receptive to the emotional contents and beauty of the movies, in that sense she vibes like me. The chances that she might be my dual are weak though because I locked on to her emotionally right away and if she were indeed my dual I should have felt an initial repulsion or rejection, at least this is my understanding of the dualization dynamic. However that could also have been canceled by the fact that she reminds me one of my ex romantic partner from last century ! I think she is obviously a feeling type, some kind of NF. She seems to be hot for the Se but also seems to have a decent grasp on it (I suspect that she might practice some form of martial arts). I like her voice and prosody. I like the way she vibes and move with the music.
This one was very good (her comments after the movie are quite poetic and beautiful) , again one of my favorite movies : The Last of the Mohicans

I'm watching a Korean Drama called The Glory on Netflix. The main character is 1 yr younger than me but she plays like a 35 year old though, she's like most famous Korean actress. Anyway, it's pretty good, a little Korean drama cheesy, but has a sort of film noir Alfred Hitchcockian vibe to it that is pretty interesting. I'm gonna watch Squid Game and Extraordinary Attorney Woo all on Netflix. All Korean stuff, it's all I can get myself to watch these days. Then I will watch Stranger Things before 2024 lol.
Hart of Dixie, so chill
Filmakers like Béla Tarr, who is an IEI, make me aware that the socionics description of Ni, which I think is quite good for what it is, only applies to a small minority of Ni base types, as it describes a very reflective state of mind that the majority of the population simply doesn't have. In that sense function should really only be seen as a very broad definition of processing information, and that you can go much, much deeper depending on the individual. Due to the sheer difference in how functions can manifest themselves, it seems clear that they influence intertype relationships in a way that is still very unknown to us. socionics therefore can not really predict relationships in a precise way, and you just got to hope for the best for now and pay attention to what you relate to the most.
I love this channel. I think she could be either SLI or LSI. I think she is ISTP in mbti.

I'm watching "The last of Us" since yesterday. It's freaking awesome so far (I'm about to watch episode 4) ! Even if It spoils all the gaming experience I would have had but hey It's on me ! I should have played the game before instead of procrastinating because I had plenty of time to do it. Depression and anhedonia are to blame as usual. Anyways, I'm having a good time watching it and that doesn't happen so often lately.

“Trafficked in America,” produced by Daffodil Altan and Andrés Cediel, with Altan as correspondent, shines light on a major labor trafficking case in which Guatemalan teens were forced by a third party contractor to work against their will at a farm in Ohio. Through the lens of this case, the documentary presents a look inside the reality of labor trafficking in America.

Watching this has induced in me the brightest sparkle of life since the last five years of depression. I haven't thought "I want this !" since forever !
when guys ask me why I won't video chat. I HAD a bad experience.
Funny enough I just started watching the OG Sailor Moon anime. Mainly because I got a gonzo crazy idea that I may well be able to pull off a second coming of what Jim Buchter did when he dared his audience at a con to give him the absolute worst idea they could come up with for a series. He dared them that'd he'd turn that idea into a bestseller.
They came up with "Lost Roman Legion" + "Pokemon". If ya know what came out of that ya know. If ya don't well look it up and give it a read. Proof positive that there are no bad ideas. Only bad executions. My own personal blend of madness involves fusing the tropes of Magical Girl Anime with Mil-SF involving mercs, mechs, and megacorps (i.e. I'm throwing in a tiny bit of Cyberpunk for just that little extra spice) and yes I know that sounds utterly nuts but hey, that's how you found a new genre or a new blowout IP.
Nobody had any real say as to why "Twilight", "Harry Potter", "Dune", "Lord of the Rings", "50 Shades of Gray", "Star Wars/Trek", etc. became the equivalent of Pop Cult Idols. Sometimes ya just gotta roll the dice. Ya won't make any big waves by "chasing the puck" as it were.
Though I will tell y'all this. Ya most certainly won't make anything even approaching a fraction of a percent of the aforementioned work's impact if you're enslaved to the Death Cult and its dogma. Mary Sue's who check all the boxes and are amazing just because they have the favored sexual identity in vogue ATM won't resonate through history. Conan resonates unto this very day for a reason. He's a most masculine and ardently Pagan man, but he'd not feel nor actually be out of place in a monastery devoted to creating Paladins for Christ. He may not respect them as fellows, but he'd still admire the cut of their jib! Crom knows and approves of their willingness to die in place for no other reason but that duty/eternity/their gods demand it!

I've been watching Babylon Berlin. I'm not really a TV person, but it's good.
Well I’m still enjoying ‘Hart of Dixie’, it’s created by an ILE female. Similar to ‘the OC’ the characters have really clear sociotypes played by actors of the same type. Funny and warm and sometimes wise, it’s getting me through the winter months nicely. There is an LII character who isn’t a nerd, he’s loveable, a super sassy sensitive ESE, a male IEI who fancies the lead SEI played by Summer from the O.C, it’s so fun.
Viewer discretion advised !!
Some of this stuff are unbearable so

I almost fainted watching it. That's hardcore stuff folks ! Normally I don't watch this kind of stuff.

I stared watching this scene over and over again. I didn't know why. I stopped going to the library.
A black guy rode a bus to my home town and started stabbing people in the library.
true story.
I kept making my mom watch this movie. I told her
"it's coming" she called me crazy and then COVID hit.
Franz Liszt!? and the ILE rabbit.
Poor mouse
lmao oh @End you cured your Fe polr by watching cheesy Sailor Moon anime, good for you and god bless.
I never got into anime much but I don't see how anybody could be too hateful towards the cheesy campiness of Sailor Moon. I mean I grew up with it (that and Pokemon) and I got kinda used to both- my best friend was super into those shows. I wasn't much into them tho I was more of a Buffy/Angel/Charmed/Xena/Supernatural kind of guy.
Piper's exploding power <3:
As I work my way through it I find it is both a product of its time and that the creator actually was grasping things deeper than they realized.
I don't want to spoil things for those who haven't seen it but after about episode 23 in the OG series it stops being a slog of boring "Monster of the Week" BS (seriously I had to play a session of a video game/Metal song 2-3 times just to "refresh" my BS tolerance meter just to get through) and actually starts graduating to using that format to link into a "Myth" arc if ya know anything about tropes (that and actually starts delivering on promises made by the author which has been, is, and always will be essential to anyone who knows the first thing about the art and craft of writing).
The "Rainbow Crystals" (i.e. the point this series "Grows the Beard" as Star Trek fans would put it) put a hard limit on the number of episodes that could conceivably be needed before some kind of payoff had to happen or else any rational member of the audience would either get bored and leave, riot, etc.
Said delivery happened with a bit of nuance as that arc was what amounted to a surprise 3-way war between those who thought it was probably going to be a boring 2-way.
I've yet to fully work my way through the whole series but I can already foresee a potential problem I'd like to preempt and solve in my own works. Spoiler warning: I think Sailor Moon's boyfriend becomes a wee bit useless near the end. Kinda unavoidable if she goes full Goku and he remains, well, Tien/Vegeta if ya catch my drift. Kinda relevant yet when the chips are fully down and it's final hand on the table? He comes up short one way or the other.
Thus a storytelling problem within that genre. The one who solves it in a compelling and entertaining way will attain eternal accolades. For example? "Mages" couldn't or would never be Main Characters until Jack Vance pioneered his Magic System. The common refrain from any logical person before he penned "The Dying Earth" was this: "If he/she can use magic than why the hell aren't they using it to solve this problem!?"
Vance laid down the law and those laws are both legend and hella compelling. "Cugel the Clever" in "The Eyes of the Overworld" in the conclusion of that story was so friggin' good I can't not essentially order you to read that book all the way until the end. So good! I both hate and love Cugel because of what he does. Dumbass bastard yet I get why he did what he did. Though I'd say that eating that thing he tried to was obviously a bad idea and that climax was so exquisitely extravagant.
I can't imagine how hard his enemies were sweating during those scenes at the end. Cugel was certainly capable of utmost cruelty and even intended to use a spell so cruel I won't spoil it for you but trust me, it was a true example of abject Gamma Cruelty. Yet even we have limits (and can fuck up hardcore as well). Imagine if we fuck up in our worst moment only to accidentally do something far worse than what we'd imagine as we fear we've just blessed our worst enemies with full control over our own fate?
Or perhaps in trying to do our worst we inflict paradise upon a world? Such was the magical realm of the pulps...
Not to spoil it directly but Cugel accidentally freed many a poor an innocent soul from that most cruel of enchantments and Vance didn't shy away from the implications of it. A man from a thousand years ago may know of a spell that had been long since forgotten. Now? Now he was back on the stage of history. Who knows what that means!
