The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

Me too. I want to learn (and will, once I have more time). I plan to take classes at some point. I just do bellydancing alone for now, lol. I'm trying to make up a dance for this song. It just seems so perfect for dancing.

I think most people have a face structure that benefits more from inner eye highlights instead

Finished Squid Game. Despised it. I usually don't watch things like that, but I pushed myself to watch this one. I won't force myself to watch those kinds of shows again.

Damn you really hated it huh.... lol .... It just annoyed me that they made it so long..... I've said this to a couple of ppl already, but either make it into a movie, if you just want to blow ppls brains out..... or actually allow the characters to learn their lessons, in that you can't trust everyone..... cause as soon as the characters found out that they could or could not trust someone, one of them died... (apart from main character.....) If it was a film it would have been fine though...... Once I got past the marbles game, I was just fast forwarding because I had enough of it

lol... It does seem like she typed him as an SI type from his dating profile, then suddenly realized he's an aggressor half way through the date

Blonde female SEI singing, mostly to a handsome male LIE.

There is a dark-haired female ESI in the video, and a goateed ILE, but their appearances are brief.

Been watching Star Trek: Prodigy. Even tho the show is aimed at kids I think it's the best installment in the trekkie franchise that we've had in awhile. We're only three episodes in and they can still fuck it up and maybe I'm just charmed at something new- but I like this a lot better than 'Lower Decks'. I like the "Authority is good if the authority is actually technically useful and knows stuff" angle. I've always kinda thought that- what is really bad is when the authority is a bad combination of completely ineffectual, logically retarded, inefficent and heartless. But commanding other people is a bit different than just technically knowing stuff- often the shy introverted NT technical nerd might not be so hot at commanding others as that takes people/interpersonal skills- but Hologram Janeway can be the Mary Sue that is good at both lol.
