I'm often perceived as arrogant, and I think it's for the mere reason of being disinclined to overtly and publicly share personal things like concern, self-doubt, motivation, deeper feelings, etc.

Ironically enough, being more transparent and sharing some of those things openly has usually had the same exact effect and not the opposite. I guess it boils down to how different people interpret your character and whether they find your individual type of arrogance to be sticking out or lacking.

As far as arrogance that's actually bothered me, two ILE's that I knew in highschool. I barely notice it in other people, or I just think oh, they're 'arrogant' in the same way that a lot of people are, or that they can at least back it up and have other positive qualities. I'm probably arrogant.
