    Example: shawn notices that a woman who supposedly killed herself just picked up her dry cleaning and says "why would she pick up her dry cleaning if she was planning on killing herself? this wasn't a suicide!" etc.

    Can you say...common fucking sense?

    But, for a certainty, back then,
    We loved so many, yet hated so much,
    We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

    Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    @Gilligan

    You have a point in that a lot of stuff is not necessarily type-related, but in the sense that any type can and does use any function -- so it may be not type related but still function-related. .

    I'd also say it's closer to -- shawn's assumption is that people who kill themselves necessarily have a clear plan to do it, and that even if they do have a plan, they do not do routine stuff like picking up dry cleaning -- those assumptions may or may not be true, but they stem from .

    I don't know anything about the character, but in general, couldn't a deduction about some real life cicrumstance also be ? It seems that logic applied to situations in this way has a flavor. Or, how would you rule out in such cases?

    The character in the show pretends to be a psychic. He soves mysteries through his gift of observation as well as his ability to piece together clue involving cause and effect relationships. He determines how one event will affect another, or has affected another.

    @Joy: what you speak of is called "logic". I guess this is what happens when people get too sucked into socionics and forget about real-world definitions.

    @gilligan: LOL for using the words "common sense" while having that quote in your sig.

    See Joy, I just did it.

    lol I saw that

    As far as the , he's too... flippant. There's nothing introverted about the guy at all. He's even too flippant to be imo. I still maintain that he's a gifted ESFp...
