Gladly. There was a Russians socionics study that found the following general data as far as conversion:



I'm at work and having trouble finding the exact page of the study, but the general conclusion was there there is often no direct correlation between the types. An INTJ in MBTI might be an ESTp in socionics, An ESFP in MBTI might be an ENFp in socionics, etc. Some probably conversions that you wouldn't normally think.

I know that article. It is a real bad source because they asked the participants to read a descriptions and place themselves in the "correct" box so to speak. The descriptions don't correlate that is. And we all already know that, N is biased in MBTI and S is not in Socionics.

It is from socionika or whatever the site is called.

Mmm that's not quite my understanding. They asked their 'professional' Russian socionics experts to match descriptions of the types and other people. They weren't rating themselves, iirc.

Type descriptions has nothing to do with this thread, I never said anything about portraits it is up another alley. That is my point.

Have you ever seen people parading their ability in some function in a way that shows they use it extremely simplistically? I imagine the dunning-krueger effect where someone's delusions of competence lead them to be loudly and self-confidently ignorant and short-sighted. I suspect this is the result of conscious but undeveloped function usage.....
