    Default V.I. Me Please

Hey everyone, I've posted a decent amount in this forum, and some of you may already be convinced I'm a certain type, but I'm curious if V.I. gives you any different impressions.

Pretend it's from scratch. What type do you think I am and what functions can you see and why?

    Steve

By V.I. alone, I would have said ESTj.

BTW I usually slouch much more than those pictures may suggest, and my posture is definitely not as sturdy as in the amber background.

But that's interesting you'd say ESTj. I had my father try some online tests like on similarminds.com and he came out ESTj every time, but he's a psychologist and I can't see him being a stereotypical ESTj, if that type at all. And I'm pretty sure my mother's an ESFj, at least according to one online test or two, and also from my own observation, but I frequently find myself in conflict with her reasoning (or lack therof), by not taking in the bigger picture and the context of situations when making decisions, and when I was younger would get frustrated by these decisions.

I would love some more input!

Look at intertype relationships, that's mostly how I chose my type. When you read about we INFjers, do you want to pick us up and hug us like we're bunnies until our eyeballs explode? (okay that's a bad example of how duals work but...)

Look also at INFps...would those be the people you'd kinda hate and not get along well with that much? As soon as I read about my conflictors, I thought 'yeah that's me.'

I agree though, you look VERY ESTj-ish.

    Why no J-look?

I don't dispute ENTP, he's clearly one. But dunno, doesn't seem so clear by VI.

this is what an ESTj looks like...

not the awkward smile in the second one. it's not really a face he makes all that often though.

More likely ENTp than ESTj. I didn't get any ESTj feeling, but I get a weak ENFp feeling.

    ....

lol, Erkki looked at it and guessed "some kind of ENTp maybe". Couldn't explain it. Hadn't read the thread, doesn't know Steve.

What made some of you say ESTj? Honestly that's one of the types I sometimes become frustrated with and have trouble getting them to fully understand my points and ideas. If you were looking at the upright posture of the amber background pic when getting that impression, that was a school picture from 3 years ago and the photographer had me in a stiff posture.

I think Rocky's right, ESTj would have more of a stare vs a gaze.

I'm still curious as how you guys see certain functions in me, and feel free to also use both the V.I. and what I've written in this forum as a gauge.

Kristiina, interesting you say ENFp. The first Jung type tests (not socionics) I took gave me ENFp, but I think I was just trying compensate for a not too strong , and the words "Cold , Rational, Logic" seemed less than idealistic. I think what finally pointed me in the Thinking direction was the realization that Thinking is not just , but sometimes known as "subjetive logic" which I can identify with, and that can complement the dominant function.
