ISFj I would guess, there is that same "repetitious understated development" in music again... with instincts likely sp/so

I don't know if she is ISFj or your dual but watching that interview bit i did think a girl like that would be a good match for you Ash.

Now this is a story all about how, my type got changed, turned upside down. Just wait for a minute and watch chatbox right there, & I'll tell how Gem became the moderator with blue hair.

In typology central friended and praised, on the picture thread was where she spent most her days. Chilling out, selfies, relaxing all cool, And all typing some people and getting them schooled.

When a couple of girls who were up to no good, Started annoying her & her friends in the forumhood, She got in one little flame war & got pissed off & said 'I'm moving in with that exboyfriend in the forum with the socionics toffs.

So Gem pulls up to the forum for a year without being a hater, And yells to typocentral 'Yo creeps! Smell Ya later', Became a mod in her kingdom she was finally there, To sit on her throne as the mod with blue hair.

I just started looking into temperaments. Her movements seem too jerky and awkward for ip. I would have to watch a interview.

Why ISFj? She seems very intuitive to me...She seems to have a hard time explaining herself or what she's attempting to do, using vague language at best, describes trends constantly in interviews, etc. she also clearly has a bent towards ethics and appears more perceiving than judging....just my opinion. Though I very much agree she is e4

Difficulty explaining one's self is pretty standard for IXFx types in general IME.

She has a lot more of a physical awareness/presence than I get from IEIs—watch where her eyes pan, and you can see she's more attentive to what's directly in front of her; she doesn't look upwards a great deal, nor as if peering towards some faraway horizon like people tend to do when they're mentally visualizing something (you'll see Ni types do this a lot). She also narrates a great deal primarily from direct experience—i.e., "i saw this, felt that, these events happened and it was like…"—rather than articulating her experiences in a more detachedly abstract sense (which is more common among Ni egos).

I don't know but I don't think she is IEI or ESI. maybe some Fe polr type, Delta, SLI? I see Logical rather than Ethical - I watched at least 5 interviews and she focuses almost exclusively on talking about her work & her methods, without much sentimentality expressed. in one interview she says she cares more about music production than on building an image (probably points away from IEI.) her laughs and smiles often seem superficial, awkward, uncertain: born of nervousness rather than a true expression of emotion (weak Ethics). I wouldn't be surprised if she is usually unaware of the expression on her face, or of how she comes across to people.

also she says she only showers 1-5 times a week because she believes it's "unhealthy" for people to be "too clean". idk but it's easy for me to see a individualistic SLI saying something like that.

    anyway, another interview:

I agree. I think she's definitely F>T. That said, I still don't think she's isfj. She just comes across as more intuitive than sensing to me. Just my 2 cents.

She lacks the abstract detachment of Ni types (lexically and perceptually).

my impression is that she's sort of awkward and not really that natural at expressing herself (doing it indirectly through her music), despite being an unapologetically authentic person, if that makes sense.

another thing: I find it hard to see Grimes as Static/Ij temperament. looking at her song lyrics, she seems Dynamic, describing reality in terms of the evolution of events, changing circumstances, etc.

    examples:
    http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/vi...22107858866197
    http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/vi...22107858887768

Statics (IJ and EP): Statics view reality as sets of episodes, scenes, pictures. The consciousness of a Static type is oriented towards perceiving these separate, individual states, and not as continuous flows of changes.

Dynamics (IP and EJ): For Dynamic types, events are viewed as a continuous sequence, which is not fragmented into separate episodes. The consciousness of a Dynamic type is oriented towards perceiving continuous flows of changes as opposed to discrete states.

    http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin/content.php/106
the Dynamic description fits her much better, imo

The same material reads to me as declarations of mechanics within a relationship. "I do this and there is your response to it, and within the sphere of psychological proximity, here is the state of our affiinty-based association." In other words, explication of "What's up between us." In light of everything else posted so far it sounds rather gamma SF to me, though I also wish she'd wash her ass.

I actually like her music more than most stuff posted on here. The one in the interview has been in my head a few times.

also, I dislike my tumblr so I deleted it. I think I need to only post pics I absolutely love.

I also want to add a few lines from the link posted that made me lol : " Her music sounds like a baby voice goo goo gaa gaa-ing over some bleep bloop music."

"Sorta tried to stream her album to see if there was anything worth 'writing home about', but it is the standard conceptual bleep bloop band with only one or two 'half decent' songs that aren't even THAT listenable, but I would probably put them on a mix CD for some girl who wanted to 'feel artsy', like she was listening to 'the new Bjork',"

"She is potentially 'completely insane', ready 2 meltdown. It seems like 'being a buzzband' is the most 'normal, stabilizing thing she could have done with her life. She apparently tried to float down the Mississippi River like a trust crusty homeless person. While many blogspots would say 'that's totally kewl', I feel like we've all had that one crusty friend in HS/college who 'went too far', and you feel like it is only a matter of time b4 they end up dead from trying to trainhop/eating food out of a dumpster one last time."

eccentricity can be cute if it's authentic. but not so much if she's just a spoiled trust-crusty kid being weird & dirty cuz she's rich enough to indulge the luxury of fucking around playing pretend @ life. i don't know if she actually is that or not, maybe i'll find out later

The term 'crusties' is also a slang term used in body piercing for the dried, crusty leakage from a new piercing.[5] In the Bath, Somerset and Bristol areas of England a crusty is a derogatory term for any homeless person. The term crusty to mean surly or lazy dates back to at least the mid eighteenth century in Somerset.[6]
