I've been doing a lot of cooking lately.
And I've learned a few things...all of which are probably really obvious. But it's fun to share anyway.
1. Don't make soup in the same water you cooked the rice in. It tastes like dirty rice water.
2. Pour less pasta in the pot than you think you'll want. It may not look like enough...but it definitely will be. Same applies to rice.
3. Season things before cooking them. Salt and pepper make a hugeeee difference.
4. Make sure you turn the stove off after use. I ended up with a pot of tiny shrivelled peas because I forgot.
5. Clean as you go. Seriously. It makes cooking so much easier.
6. Paprika isn't the same as cayenne. Also, oregano is nothing like basil. But hey..
7. Scrambled eggs are pretty much the easiest thing in the world to make. They are fun to make too. So fun to watch the proteins change...
8. One pot dishes are fun. Two is acceptable. Anything more is unnecessary.
