Up until about four weeks ago when I was forced to hustle on the streets accompanying my warden (well, current love interest, but "warden" sounds more formidible and leaves more room for sexual fantasies of sorts and numbers). I've never been so exhausted at the end of the day as I have after being made to walk city streets soliciting donations from complete strangers. To my credit, I'm charming as hell, which saves the use of actual salesmanship and guerilla tactics.

Best sleep aid: think about pain.

there was a time in my life when I couldn't fall asleep unless my stomach was growling. it was during the period of going from a size 11 to a size 1 in 6 months.

I distinctly recall one night that I hadn't been able to fall asleep. This means that no, I don't have insomia.

You just need to exercise to fight it.

I get my insomnia phases when I have no chance of falling asleep before 4am (or 6am). Even if I go to bed at 12, I'll just lie there and try to relax, half-sleeping but totally aware of reality. Like being totally awake but having less control over the thoughts. Half thoughts, half dreams. Body is so worn out that I can't move it, but I just wont fall asleep. When I finally get to sleep, I'll usually sleep until the morning.

When it gets very bad, I'll also wake up 4-6 times during the night. That's a lot less frequent

I don't use sleeping pills or anything like that. I have tried them a couple of times but they don't work that well for me - I got awfully weird vivid dream and woke up a couple of times during the night. I woke up feeling even more tired than usually.

PS! My insomnia phases aren't always concurrent with stress. Stress makes it more probable, but isn't the main cause.

I did realize an occurence among my SI dominant friends. They dont have insomnia but I do see a commonality of all of them being very touchy sleepers. ie. they wake easily or sleep in annoying increments.

I never type someone because of one post. If you were my conflictor, I think I would feel that. (and for people who disagree that ISFp is my conflictor, Zem just doesn't seem similar to the ISFps I know.)

I dont think many people think you are ENTj though
I don't know but your posts don't give off an ENTj vibe, and I can usually detect that pretty quickly. I usually get this strong urge to try and make the ENTj like me. But I don't feel that with you.

Zem, maybe I'm the perfect ENTj and you don't feel the need to change me in any way!

If you are INFp, we should have a pretty good relationship. I don't piss off people who have Te-PoLR, because I have too many siblings with Te-PoLR. And this is why I might not give you the feeling that you have to change me.
PS! I piss off people who are too sensing and too much in the presence.

Insomnia - I had one tiny energy drink at 5pm and didn't get to sleep until 4am. And I had lots of dreams.

I've also never met a female ENTj, well unless you count Joy, whose type I make no comment on any longer. You do seem.....really......sort of dreamy in a way, they way you word your posts and the topics you bring up. And you never seem angry in any posts you always seem light and bubbly, even if its a flame war type thing going on.

Interestingly enough, Joy never seems angry either. She always seems fabulously indifferent, which does not strike me as ENTj behavior either (in comparison to the well-known Se assertiveness and passion displayed by ENTjs here and elsewhere). I just thought I'd mention it since you brought it up.

thank you. It's taken a lot for me to learn to be like that. Of course... irl I'm still working on it... but at least I've made some progress over the years, particularly since my son was born. That's what life's about though, right? Learning and improving and whatnot.

    Te role anyone?
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    My development:
    indifferent -> serious -> aggressive -> bubbly.
As a contrast, is this Fe role? (joking, not to be taken too seriously. Although I'm telling the truth.)
