ESTp

Also using this befitting emoticon to convey my feelings about my result:![]()
I have tried to manipulate my answers in several ways to see if I could be an INTp, and every time it seems like to be an INTp it is necessary that I choose alternative 1 out of these two:
1. Natural and complete understanding of the nature of relations/attitudes between any people, their harmony and disharmony. Skill to understand desires and interests of people. Excellent understanding of the various aspects of relations between people. Excellent understanding of a person's attitude towards you.
2. Understanding the most concealed emotions of other people. Skill to understand the mood of other people and to influence it. Ability to bring out the necessary emotions in yourself and other people. Bright emotionalism. Skill to create around yourself joyful and holiday/celebratory mood. Raising the energy of the surrounding people. Talkativeness. Tendency to avoid negative emotions. Jovial merry person. Wealth of sincere experiences and feelings. Romanticism, passion. Bright and strong emotionalism. Cheerfulness.
This question is very difficult to answer in itself, and yet it also seems that I might have to answer to the final question that it was not difficult to choose between 1 and 2.
Now I wonder if choosing alternative 1 is in line with your understanding of INTps in general. Does everyone think so? And should it really be easy?
How should an INTp answer above if the following is true about an INTp?
From: http://oldforumlinkviewtopic.php?t=5...=asc&start=165She is as uncomfortable and insecure about sensing and influencing people's moods and emotional impressions of her as you are regarding your appearance. That results into an unawareness of "proper" emotional behavior in social or work environments which leads to occasional awkward behavior. It also leads to an extreme insecurity as to how others relate to her emotionally, and she dislikes extravagant displays of emotion since she never knows how to react to them or what exactly they mean.
Whatever you might think about it, I think that to get the correct test result, everything should not depend on your answer to a question like that one. Is there another solution to this problem?
what phaedrus describes is, i believe, a fundamental flaw of these tests. a lot of these quadra tests and functional tests dont make much sense in this regard.is unquestionably a weak function for an INTp.
is also a weak function. Thus, the question becomes paramount to having to choose between two weak functions. The question furthermore describes the functions as if they were very strong. While it might be reasonable to assume that an INTp would agree that his
is stronger than his
if presented with such a question, this type of question which presents both functions as strong is really not answerable. This problem is exacerbated by the following stage which asks "which of these questions was harder to answer," which is also not an appropriate question.
thats why i think tests that use this method (testing for the first two functions, however, do not fall under this category) such as this one and mcnews quadra tests aren't really valid. they might be improved by generating some sort of mechanism for determining which function pairs are strong and which pairs are weak and presenting different types of questions for both.
i got entp. the last question was hard, and changing it gave me INTj.

preference and should answer 1. It should be "easy" since
is the PoLR, but I think that the phrasing in the
description - such as "excellent understanding" etc -- may make the choice more difficult.
I think that the bits I highlighted from my own quote clearly relate toOriginally Posted by Phaedrus
, and later in my description I indicated that INTps crave deeper connections
.
So an INTp should choose 1 over 2; the problem is in the phrasing which applies somewhat better to egotypes.

IMO most of the discussions about INTjs and INTps have focused too much on precise definitions of what isand
. Some of that confusion may be made worse by INTjs having
as dominant function, while
for INTps is creative, and I wonder if part of the confusion is not also a mix-up between
and
.
I think INTps are very well described in socionics by Stratyeskaya and the profile in socioscope.com . I'm not as sure about INTjs since my experience with them - and my knowledge and understanding of them - is much lesser than with INTps.

We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,

lol!
Ok one more test then I go watch some soccer...

and now..GO FRANCE!! I meant GO PORTUGAL!! Nah who cares as long as something interesting happens. Ok, I do hope Zidane plays well. It makes me feel younger.
I have made a new edition of the test, which will be out soon.
I got ENTp.
The test has been updated, folks, so that means that your old links won't work anymore.
Binary or dichotomous systems, although regulated by a principle, are among the most artificial arrangements that have ever been invented. -- William Swainson, A Treatise on the Geography and Classification of Animals (1835)
Got ENFp, changed one answer on the first page and got INFp. It was Se over Ne.

For the new version
Your proposed type is:
INTj
All Hail The Flying Spaghetti Monster
i think some of the questions are a little leading.
more importantly, i think that some of the questions are still not appropriate and are phrased as if the function were strong where this is not necessarily the case. i.e. i had to pick between having strong Fe and Fi, neither of which are strong. if a group (in this case NT) has already been established, then the questions differentiating between the weaker functions should display the weak functions rather than the strong ones. it would be easier to indicate that i have, for example, weaker Fe than Fi.
http://www.people.iup.edu/rdxm/ptest_results.htm?Type=2
I think the test is better now! Just it is hard to answer some of the questions that compare my weaker functions or otherwise very equal functions (maybe "I can't tell" option could be useful if it can be added without destroying the test)
Anyways I again get INTp as my "default" type.
By changing some answers...
* Se/Ne question was hard and if I change that then I get INTj
* Fi/Fe was another hard one and if I change that then I get ISTj
* If I change Fi/Fe and the answer to last ("dynamic") question I get ISTp
* If I change Se/Ne and Fi/Fe concurrently I get INTj again.
All possible options seem to be some IXTx type so there is consistency in that sense.
