    Default Help with this....

I have a very difficult time reading this passage. Why?

"One can get to the primordial image from the idea only because the path that led to the idea passes over the summit to the counterfunction, feeling."

Does this have to do with Te?

Can you find a passage you have a hard time picturing or interpreting?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

No, it's not Te. It's nonsense. And yes, there are lots of passages like that. I usually assume they contain Ni.
Once my LII brother was describing something abstract to me that I couldn't picture. I stopped him and told him to use a fish to represent one of the main ideas. That worked better. I can picture a fish better than I can picture the idea of an individual's idealized future.

The quoted passage looks to me like Ni gone amok.

It seems to be saying that starting with a vague "primordial image", one can gain understanding of some concept it somehow points at, but the process involves an excursion into use of weak mental faculties, namely Feeling.
