I made some icecream-flavored icecream when I was 8
The ice-cream has to be whisked as it freezes, otherwise ice crystals will form and it will not have the smooth texture ice cream should have. If you don't have an ice cream maker you can put it in the freezer and then take it out every 10 minutes or so and whisk it and then put it back. Or you can take a large bowl and fill it with ice and put a smaller bowl with ice cream inside it and then whisk it continously as it freezes. Put the bowl in the freezer before you start so it's cold. But you will have to sit there and stir it for quite a while. Good luck!
Or you can make so called parfait and not whisk it at all. Instead you increase the fat and use whipped cream instead of milk. That way you can get the parfait quite smooth also.
If you add berries or fruit it can be a good idea to boil it first to remove the water. Water will make the mixture less smooth as it freezes because of the ice crystals.

Just put it in plastic bags and jump on the trampoline for a while.

homemade ice cream is awesome. Ours always comes out in the consistency of milk shakes though. Which is additionally awesome.
