Default Hello - INTp from Las Vegas

Hi everyone, new to socionics. I have been studying MBTI and Jung for two months now. I want to learn more about socionics. Psychology is an interest of mine. I want to understand why people are the way they are and why they do the things they do. As an added bonus I would also like to learn about myself and those close to me.

In MBTI I'm an INTP and I score INTp in socionics as well. My wife is an ESFj and I recently posted a question in the Intertype Relations forum.

Ouch, if this is true, it means you're conflictors. That's basically the worst intertype relation for any long-term relationship. I happens that conflictors marry, but I guess you'd have noticed it by now if she's actually your conflictor.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Yes, conflict relations is very true. It's been rocky but we had a child early so we have stuck together. However, if I can learn more about why we act the way we do, perhaps we can lessen the conflict to some extent.

I don't know of anything specifically, but thank you for the welcome.

Okay, in this case, it's probably best to read much about the others type so you know how they work. So basically what you said, I think you're on the right track.

I'm not. I don't gamble either. I live in the suburbs, it's just a regular every day American neighborhood.
