This is the first description of IEE that i really identify with. I am quite enamored by it's simplicity and find i have an ability to connect with pretty much all the various points. Some of those career possibilities make me cringe but some also seem close to my heart so i assume it's a personal thing.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

    This is my favorite part:

As a rule IEE is very penetrating: she can easily predict what it is possible to expect in the future from another individual, especially if she is sufficiently familiar with him/her. As no other she knows how to inspire, to reveal the abilities and talents of others, to manifest support towards others to realize themselves. In people she values kindness, uniqueness and talent. Envy is alien to her – her creative nature allows her to see many possible avenues worth following.

Haha, well i have been through many phases and new ideas. I have been thinking through a science degree the last couple of years but the exact one keeps changing. I was thinking neuroscience at kings but am now onto an open science degree with the OU ... where i get to take all sorts of sciences and decide after a year... the brilliant thing about this undergrad degree is that the first year counts as many points towards your final so you still study the same amount of hours.. meaning there is not an extra year. Oh also i realized that i completed an openings course with the OU twelve years ago, i had previously thought i had not finished it, so now i get to feel like i achieved something in the past. The difficulty in completing courses is a huge struggle for me so this really is a breakthrough. It also shows me that i am entirely capable of seeing things through.... anyway...tangent.

Now this is a story all about how, my type got changed, turned upside down. Just wait for a minute and watch chatbox right there, & I'll tell how Gem became the moderator with blue hair.

In typology central friended and praised, on the picture thread was where she spent most her days. Chilling out, selfies, relaxing all cool, And all typing some people and getting them schooled.

When a couple of girls who were up to no good, Started annoying her & her friends in the forumhood, She got in one little flame war & got pissed off & said 'I'm moving in with that exboyfriend in the forum with the socionics toffs.

So Gem pulls up to the forum for a year without being a hater, And yells to typocentral 'Yo creeps! Smell Ya later', Became a mod in her kingdom she was finally there, To sit on her throne as the mod with blue hair.

How does one tame these beasts? I have a pretty good idea that my best friend is IEE. He is so completely all over the place it's about enough to give me a heart attack. I think in the last year, he's changed his life goals about 5 or 6 times...if not more. And they're not small things, it's huge, life changing things.. that change monthly. All the time. Always. Sometimes it's a breath of fresh air but most of the times it makes me really worried about his future and I can never take anything he says seriously. He'll get me so pumped up and excited about something and then it's like he's completely forgotten it in the morning and I'm like W.T.F? wtf??? At first it used to get to me a lot but now I think it's comical because I don't believe a word he says and I know I'll continue to be the silent rock he'll keep falling back on when he needs help dressing himself and getting his bills paid. God bless his little Ne heart. Should I move this to delta?

Good description that seems accurate to me.

This reminds me a lot of when I was younger, but after enough bad experiences I'm starting to break out of this impractical mentality.

It's really not a bad thing, it makes him very exciting and refreshing and fun and interesting.... I hardly ever feel that way about anyone so he gets a lot of points for that. But in the mean time, he's probably going to give me a few gray hairs lol I guess that's the wonderful caregiver in me trying to mother him.

. Yeah, I still get excited by new projects and ideas though I make sure not to get carried away nowadays. I'm sure I've driven my family nuts for the same reasons.

Hello! I am an IEE so I was thinking I could help! The best advice I could give would be to always lead by example with confidence. We appreciate a person who says what they are going to do(because we often fall short in this category) and appreciate a person with confidence (we are attracted to the knowledgeable and those with confidence appear assured). Point out to him truths in the world that he can ponder on. Tell him not what to do , but possibly what to think about. For example shed him some light on "things are always better when you wait for them" kind of out look. Not to be overly passionate and rush because of an immense feeling, but rather understand that if this feeling is true, it shall persist and it shall shed light. That's all I got!

I agree, it's a great description. I also love the typical IEE smile of the people in the pictures!

You let them do what they want with the assurance that you're there for them and support their ideas, and you let them come to you when you're ready; as with all negativist types, they have a hard time trusting people so the longer you've known them the longer they will trust you over time. Yeah, those excitements, moving your interest with their ideas, and comical reliefs are actually very healthy for SLI, they help you establish your vital tones.

You've gotta establish those 'vital tones' @Kim

    It's vital.
