Quiet, spacy, introverted, recessive, opaque, distant from people although a good friend when people needed me to be there for them. Quiet, quiet; I remember holding my sister's hand and my friend's hand in a photograph and that's how I was like, the older one who felt like the middle child, but somehow the one who was in the most comfortable position. Things from the outside world didn't effect my emotions like they did with my sister, who is an Fe base type. I remember being blunt, straight forward, but never holding on to anything/images/words other said about me that might get me down about who I am. I shaped my own understanding of the world. I stood in the center. My sister always felt like she stood on the side lines and wanted approval from others, to be noticed and no amount of notice did she take to mean something of importance that she could lean on, permanently, unlike me; for me, a little something lasted a long long time.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

When I was a child, I was very small and childlike. I acted like a child, and thought like a child. I guess I was a child when I was a child. I don't know, I never really thought about it when I was a child.

OMG. I tried playing on an leisure co-ed soccer team last fall (I'm basically a total beginner), and had the same exact experience. At one point, the captain only was going to put me in for like 10 min and take me back out, so I actually refused. I was like I just got on the field, replace some other person. I was thinking, what the...!!? This is supposed to be for fun! I'm there to play not sit at the sidelines! I actually quit the next week, because i'm not gonna drive the 20 minutes out there, and waste another 1.5 hours of the game, and then a 20 min drive back home, to only play for like 10 minutes. My time is too precious at this point, i could have been doing something productive at home or at the gym or what have you. We never did anything as a team either (like go out to happy hour or post-game meal) so it wasn't even a social endeavor either.

different things, mostly run on the treadmill, or on the high intensity elliptical, mix in some weights for a set of muscle groups i'm interested in at the moment or havent worked in a while, abs sometimes, always stretching no matter what i do.

Sometimes i'll opt for a yoga, zumba, or spinning class though to mix it up a bit. And if i'm really feeling out of it on a certain day i'll do the lower intensity elliptical.

Very interesting. I tend to be not very structured too. But I feel that it's great to capitalize on the gym rage when it comes. I don't know if you felt it before, but after pushing a certain amount, you realize you can't get where you want to be unless you push a little bit harder, and you go for it. And then you do something else, and then it comes back again. I don't know if it goes this way for girls, because it's a very testosteronal thing, or perhaps just the sign of being goal-driven.

I definitely relate. The key for me likewise to be/stay motivated, is that I NEED a goal. That goal can range from training for a race, to trying to impress a guy, etc. Like e.g. now that my half-marathon is over, and things have cooled down with the guy i was interested in, my energy at the gym has gone way down. Looks like i need to sign myself up for my next race!

Yeah, that's why outdoor soccer isn't fun. It's all about conserving time for the elite players and taking away time from those who aren't as good. I like indoor soccer more because people get tired very quickly and the team usually ends up splitting playing time equally. It also depends a lot on the kind of players that are on your team. Good thing you decided to leave, its not worth your time and money to be treated that way.

Well, no. In organized soccer, you're supposed to win. If you want to have fun, you need to play with your friends. (not that I enjoy this attitude, but I played soccer for 8 years and that's how it goes)

You're silly Abbie. Everyone has abdominal muscles, but their visibility is an indicator of low body fat percentage, which is also an indicator of fitness and health. A 6 pack therefore is so much more than it actually is.

Ahah, I was also like that, until say 14-15. Then I got bored of having to call everyone, and eventually many friends drifted apart and now only go out with their very small circle of people they met at work or some shit like that.

    S,
This is one of the saddest childhood accounts I have ever read. It is heart-breaking! Not sure I can get the image of that beautiful little girl with all those horrors lurking inside and around her out of my mind. I know it took courage to write this. Thanks for sharing with me. Sadly, there are many more children with harsh childhoods; I write, very graphically and poignantly, about incest in my extended family, a predatory great uncle. I have a Note on my Facebook blog about the issue, and I support a ministry of compassion for women who suffered sex abuse (as my friend, Sallie Culbreth the founder, did). Here is a link to her website. I hope you contact Sallie ---she is super! MH

I was hyperactive, clumsy, and chatty.

OH, just noticed this is in Beta!

I was always out and about. I would always be sneaking over next door...screwing the neighbors daughter. I stopped doing that when I went to junior high, because the chicks there were starting to grow boobs. I also remember fingering this girl in the cafeteria while she sipped on her milkshake. She ended up being my first girlfriend

I dont think one has to be a part of a quadra to answer questions. It gives breadth and depth if all participate. It also gives contrast. We can learn from one another, I hope.

    This.

I see an interesting topic and have something to say, I contribute.
What about those not sure of their quadra? Back to the general areas?
People tend to put these non-quadra-related topics in quadra section, which is OK, but I won't be making another topic of the same content on my own section just because I shouldn't enter the realm of other quadras. As most topics are not X-quadra only, or not even quadra-related, is it even a good basis for dividing the forum areas? Or is it just the socionics thing to do?

I cannot specifically answer the exact question, but I do think that some base points need to be shown in order to see how the parts relate. I just wish they related more appropriately or naturally. I detest the forced nature or "known quantity" of the interactions. For example, if I am talking to Ashton, I know Ashton, and I know he knows me. If I am talking to another person that I know less of on an internal level, I am unsure as to how much of the interaction is based on surface information, and it pisses me off because the potential for greater authenticity could be had.

Based on surface information, I like Jadae.

So how about you get the fuck out of Delta? Or go find a different forum to troll, if that's your agenda.
