Their typings are contested on Russian forums as well. I wasn't the only one to notice the discrepancy between their assigned IEs and the content of their literary works.

On a side note, something being "well-known" does not automatically make it right or correct.

Only that the types of characters do not have anything to do with the type of the author. Someone with a keep eye for human nature is free to create any personages and endow them with any personality really, and Dostoyevsky certainly wasn't lacking in this respect.

PoLR and DS functions get confused for each other. DS is weak to the point that it can serve as a source of neuroses, which sounds very similar to what you're describing with him feeling "overwhelmed" to the point that he needs to be "calmed down".

Some of Dostoyevsky's attitudes are very Fe-Ti in nature. This for example:
The more I detest men individually the more ardent becomes my love for humanity.

He's got no Fi except for demonstrative.

. I am as intrigued by all sx primary types, though the 4 interest me just as much. I want to understand what goes on in their minds, how best to enrapture and capture them, that they shall be mine for all eternity. That such is impossible makes me crave it all the more.

Yep, sx first is pretty much the bees pajamas. I'm always more drawn to them above everybody else, sx/sp > sp/sx > sx/so in roughly that order.

Personally I'm most drawn to 8w9s and 9w8s.
