Step 1: Find your type and become really really sure of it.
Step 2: Put yourself in situations continually where your modus operandi causes you a lot of psychological strain, and become thoroughly maladjusted to your environment.
Step 3: Develop an exit strategy by adapting qualities of your neighboring type. We will call this the "wing".
Step 4: Gradually grow out on your neurosis and adapt to the situation by embodying your less-stressful wing-type.
Congratulations, you have now a different enneagram type! Unfortunately this one is ripe with its own negatives and set of neuroses.
