    Default Gulenko's Erotic Attitude QUESTION

    Groups
    Gulenko's Erotic Attitudes

Gulenko discovered certain 'scripts', or collective unconscious archetypes that he found over and over in the behavior of love between people. He noticed the second and third quadras were inclined to be resolute, yet the first and fourth quadras were more consultive in their decisions.

    Uh.......should that be "irresolute"?

Or, what is the difference between how "resolute" and "consultive" are being used? (Don't they mean the same thing?)

Or is my understanding messed up?

    ?

PS: Or was this just a matter of saying "infantile and carfeul are likely to pair up better, as well as aggresor and victim pair up well together." ?

I have a question about the Victim type. The description says that they play up their weaknesses looking for the aggressor to step up... and lists disorganization as one of them???

    Take a look here:

    http://the16types.info/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3398

According to Reinin dichotomies, Alpha and Delta are "reasonable" or "judicious"; Beta and Gamma, "resolute" or "decisive".

I don't know how "resolute" and "consultive" could mean the same thing

Anyway, based on that, it appears that Gulenko arrived at his erotic groups -- Alpha and Delta are Careful or Infantile; Beta and Gamma, Aggressor or Victim.

Where Careful is related to having in the Ego; Infantile, ; Aggressor, ; Victim, .

There seem to be some slight errors in this translation:
should be "caring," not "careful," as in "taking care of others." Perhaps the best name for these types would be "caretakers."
Beta and Gamma should probably be "decisive," not "resolute," and I can't remember the original word for Alpha and Gamma

Aha, exactly! Instead of "reasonable," a better translation would be "judicious."

I'm not sure that socionics exists. Yes, I know my type. No, I'm not going to state it because there is no point. Also, please don't confuse substance abuse with socionics type.

I have a question about the Victim type. The description says that they play up their weaknesses looking for the aggressor to step up... and lists disorganization as one of them???
Any comments on this? The "OMG I'M SO HELPLESS" thing that INFps do annoys the hell out of me... In the past I assumed that this was the "victim" attitude, but I don't see INTps or ENTjs acting like that, especially ENTjs. How would a typical male ENTj fill a victim role and a typical ISFj female play an aggressor role?

Yeah, Mr leader ENTj - a victim? That is kind of odd.....
(perhaps it is an ISFj sort of possesiveness or something. Devotoinal perhaps)

Oh, and my "jtype" comment was also directed at "there are no weekends", not just you drinking.

As far as the ENTj/ISFj thing, I think this may show up sexually... perhaps the ENTj ends up tied up alot more than the ISFj does? There was a thread a while back that called NTs pseudo-aggressors. It also described Ni types as enjoying leading the chase. All of this makes sense as far as actually hooking up, but how does this Ni/Se thing affect everyday relationships? I'm thinking the Se type sees the weakness of the Ni type, and instead of coddling and whatnot (like a Si type would to a Ne type), she/he tells the Ni type what to do (or just does it him/herself).

    Really?

Where was that - what did it say?

I can be aggressive sometimes, but it seems to be more specifically relative, situational. But I better read the context first before I start talking...

This INFp thing you describe is more due to "PLEASE ESTP TAKE CARE OF ME I NEED YOU SO MUCH AND YOU'RE GREAT" dual-seeking.

ISFj woman: makes clear that there is a bond by being responsive, even "aggressive" in establishing and maintaining the relationship emotionally.
ENTj man: idealizes the ISFj and does what he can to "protect" her, feels the need to be a "shiny knight" at the service of "his lady". He idealizes her but is also a bit afraid of her.
