Default IEE's and talking about feelings

Is it typical for IEE's to spill their guts to other IEE's? What type is the most likely to be the confidant of the IEE?

Lately, I believe I am an IEE again, but whenever I meet another one, it begins with us bonding over interests and ideas, and then ends with them talking about their feelings with me. All. The. Time. EII's do this to me too, but they're totally charming about it! They try leading into the emotional talk, and they can talk a little bit about what they're feeling, and then go back into non-feelings talk or fun. Come to think of it, EII may be the type that I am most likely to talk about my feelings with!

With the IEE's I know, though, they just come on full force, "This is how I'm feeling. Problems problems problems!" and it sucks because what I felt our friendship was established on, shared interests and ideas and lighthearted fun, becomes ruined now that I have to be the "emotional confidant."

Maybe it's not type related, I'm just usually extremely nice to people I've just met and I do honestly like it that people feel like they can trust me enough to share these personal things with, I just don't like it when it becomes a pattern.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Most people feel comfortable to talk about feelings with IEEs, I guess other IEEs included.

Being a whiny bitch =/= ENFp.

Or if having "lighthearted fun" is such a priority for you and you avoid dealing with the subtleties of your relationships, maybe you're Alpha and regard Fi as a burden.

I guess I "talk" about my "feelings" to people I actually trust, but I'd figure most feeley types + people who are aware of their own emotionality would be okay with talking about that kind of thing. When the entirety of your existence is hard-wired to be painfully aware of your emotional states, what else are you going to talk about?

IEEs are dramatic, but it's entertaining.

Dramatic would not be something I would consider to be. Dramatic is something I actually dislike. Choose your words carefully, dramatic Fe base man, or else.

Haha, did I say dramatic? I meant... some other word with a positive connotation that wouldn't belittle IEEs' feelings.

I talk about my feelings to people, and people talk about their feelings to me. I don't think it's dramatic, though. We just talk.

I asked my IEE dad what type he'd want to spend the day with a dozen of. He quickly answered that he wanted his type. I asked why, and he said it would be wonderful to have all those people who understand him and they could just stand around talking and affirming each other all day.

I talk about feelings with people all the time, especially with close friends. But I'm selective with which feelings I tell to whom.

    same

As open as many people who know me think I am about my feelings, they'd be surprised at how much about me that they don't know.

Though, I admit that I prefer to talk about feelings and events rather than just feelings.
