you've got squares in your pizza o_O
I had Sushi for the first time!
You know the feeling where you're walking along and there's a down-step in front of you you didn't notice which suddenly cause you to fall forward? Taking my first bite of sushi at that buffet, it was like that feeling happened in my mouth . Only thing I had seconds of in that place. lol woulda had thirds but they ran out.
I was actually wondering if that was some sorta fluke so the next day I insisted we eat at a sushi place. And I'm happy to say it was no fluke! With all the talk about the overfished ocean and how the whole world is developing a taste for sushi, I toyed with the thought of me being oh so unique to have forever missed the chance to have genuine sushi. Hah! Totally worth losing that hypothetical future ice breaker.
took a 40 minute detour from the airport for this
really wish there was a closer In-N-Out

One of those meals where you keep eating until you're full, then start feeling sad because you want to just keep on eating but you physically can't or you might explode. I had strawberries dipped in 70% chocolate for dessert, but didn't get a pic of them.
My mouth is still thanking me. And even though my tummy is now stuffed, the rest of my body is happy because it was overall healthy, organic foods.
Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.
I was gonna say, who cuts up their fruit apart from for salads and salmonella avoidance these days?
Reason is a whore.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

The white stuff at top is hominy, and the diced yellow things at the bottom mixed with chicken were probably rutabaga (something about them wasn't quite potato-like). This was from a buffet I tried today that seems to rotate between various Latin American cuisines. Today's menu was Ecuadorian.

It's chayote.
I go to this Moroccan joint in town and it's pretty good except they put chayote in the kesksu.
Edit: I didn't notice your edit. Well done, sir.

What possesses a person to eat an octopus? Surely not taste buds.
Octopus is only good grilled.
