What does Mr. Darkside think?

why isn't estp up there?
ouch
Give more information about yourself, at least several paragraphs long. Also, describe your inter-type relations and then maybe we can form a somewhat accurate conclusion. Also, I believe the only two people that are actually capable of typing you are Peter and Kelly.

I've only actually met Kelly once, so Peter is really the only one who knows what I'm like IRL.
Let's see...
I'm a Home Inspector. It's a lot of fun because I find houses interesting, things like funaces, foundations, electrical systems, roofs, etc. The reason I got into Home Inspection was because my long term goal is international real estate investing. I wanted to work somewhere in the real estate field so that my career would teach me more about real estate. Right now I am focusing on my career, but the overall goal is the still the same....

I went to school to be an interior designer (because I wanted to have an attractive home). Halfway through the semester I started feeling rather homicidal, so I didn't return for more interior design classes. I also decided that owning a medical coding company would be a good way to make money because once it was set up, I could hire employees and a manager and not have to work there, but I'd still be making money. I finished a very long correspondence course in medical coding in a short amount of time and took a certification test. I passed the test, but then figured out that I'd have to put in years behind a desk in order to accomplish my goal, and I decided that my sanity was more important. I knew that I'd become homicidal again if I had to work a desk job. There were other planned careers that didn't quite pan out, but it's all good now because I really love what I do and I'm headed in the right direction.
I have a six year old boy. He's very bright and very... well, let's call him... adventurous... and explorative.... yeah.... Just click on the in my sig to read more about him and my relationship with him.
At home, I'm sorta lazy. I really have a hard time accomplishing boring chores, and I'm pretty bad about procrastinating. I also have an issue with being late a lot. I've been a lot better since Peter's been here though. I've also been eating better. It's not great, but it's better than before when I pretty much lived off of fozen, canned, and fast food, wine, and peaches and cottage cheese.
The first time I ever got into "personality" styles was when my parents came home from sunday school with a book about 4 temperaments, saying that people generally have one dominant temperament and one secondary. They said that I'm a "High D" personality, with a bit of "I". http://the16types.info/forums/viewto...ghlight=humors
=)
I like to look at the course of a human life in a timeless sense. Think about the most successful people... not necessarily famous, but people who have accomplished large goals in their lives. How did they do it? What did they do that was different than other people?
I see humans as beings with limitless potential. We limit ourselves with our beliefs of what we can and cannot do. At the end of the day, it was what we didn't try to do (because we didn't think we could) that determined how far we got.
I'd like to clarify that "success" means getting what YOU want out of life, whether it's money or a happy family or athletic excellence or whatever.
Well from your descriptions I detected a lot of . I also a saw a bit of with your preference for an attractive home. However, I couldn't really pin down an exact type though.

<Sycophant> Amazing.
<Sycophant> FOUR people think Joy could be ENTj.
<Ashton> Yeah.
<Ashton> Idiocy spreads like wildfire.
<Sycophant> Do I have to bitch in EVERY thread she makes that people need to stop eating whatever bullshit people feed them?
* guest656 has joined #socionics
* guest656 is now known as Kimmie
<Ashton> Yes, but even if you do, it would be to no avail.
Are they still doing that Apprentice show? Maybe we should all write to Mr. Trump and get Joy on that thing. It would be neat to have a forum member on reality T.V.

But I wonder if people are taking these quotes too seriously. I mean, there are lots of books on how to be rich, which talk about all this stuff. So, if someone learns all that stuff and internalizes it, does that make that person a particular type? It comes down to the issue of separating the person from the particularly philosophy that person has bought into. I'm not putting it down; I think it's great, and Joy will probably make more money than the rest of us combined. But can we really say that voicing these kinds of views and identifying with them is a reliable way of determining type?Wow Joy -- reading these quotes, especially your views on money and the markets and investing and well, all of it sounds SO very much like someone I've typed as ENTp. It was like being transported back in time and listening to his explanations and ideas as far as money-stuff was concerned.
His goal was to retire in his 30s so he could do what he wanted, build stuff, work on all of his cool ideas, spend more time with his family (although with all these projects going on. . . Very Happy ) He was actually not far off from reaching that goal as he became the sole landman for a natural gas company who is also developing some really cool technology that we both were a part of, and he would have had a share in the profits of every well that he got going. . .at any rate, you two sounded an awful lot like each other.
.
Last night I talk to my exhusband on AIM. He had been reading about INTps and INTjs, and was impressed by how disturbingly accurate the INTj description was. Then I had him read a bunch of type descriptions with me in mind, and he said first of all that none of the ethical descriptions sounded anything like me ... and then, "id say you have entp qualities, but entj intentions"
I then had him read the descriptions for duality, mirror, activity, and contrary relations, and he said that our relation is a contrary relation.
so someone I've known for 6 years and lived with for more than 3 years says I'm ENTj
I want to have my parent's read the description, but last time I emailed them type descriptions I got a lecture about being "too into" socionics

- That you behave like an ENTp, but that you have ENTj intentions. Since ENTj intentions are commonly associated with being rich, and since being rich is a goal of a lot of people not particularly related to type, this is not a valid proof for you being ENTj.
- He described your relationship as contrary; the problem is that you've made your relationship with your ex-husband fit into too fuckin many different boxes for it to be credible now. Moreover, descriptions of relationship are the most prone to confirmation bias, much more than description of types.
Obsequium amicos, veritas odium parit
actually, he seemed to be refering more to Te than a Se hidden agenda
this was the description I gave him
ENTjs often have full lips and a characteristic salesman like smile. Their bone structures normally give them their square shape figures. Their faces too are often square in shape and the facial structure itself often has many small details. Their eyes are constantly darting about rarely remaining on one object for any period of time. ENTjs typically tend to have a bouncing gait. The more hyperactive they are the more noticeable this becomes.
ENTjs like expensive, good quality clothes, however they can find it difficult to effectively combine their wardrobe. This is especially noticeable in ENTj males. They are very attracted to bright colour combinations and may combine two or three styles together. However, their aesthetic understanding is not usually very well developed and therefore they may find difficult to work where aesthetics play an important role. ENTjs often wear the same clothes for long periods giving the impression that they have just come back from a long trip and haven't had time to change.
ENTjs like to joke and play tricks on others. When talking about matters of a sexual nature, they often employ double entendres in a humorous manner. ENTjs have tendency to lace their jokes with sarcasm and irony. During conversation they may suddenly interrupt the speaker with comments that others find very funny, whereas the speaker can feel embarrassed. ENTjs talk a lot, and with their ability to create double meaning humour, they are not rare among comedians.
ENTjs find it very easy to start conversations with anybody, anywhere. They are very open to new proposals, however they always investigate the practicality of any theory. They quickly realise the potential of new ideas, and are often the first people to apply them practically. They are open to all novelties and always try to use them in their own activities. ENTjs are quite responsible people and like to be in command. They have no trouble giving orders and like to give plenty of advice.
ENTjs are very enthusiastic when starting new projects sometimes becoming so passionate that they can forget about everything else. They normally start small, gradually working their way up to bigger things. They can work very hard and extremely quickly, often working on many tasks simultaneously. ENTjs like to figure out and try many things. They are not the sort of people who blindly believe in phenomena that cannot be proved, for example UFOs, telekinesis and ESP. They are often very curious and dynamic people often experiencing a great variety of occupations during their lifetimes. They are always experimenting and sometimes get involved in projects that others started but couldn't finish.
In everyday life ENTjs can be careless making it very easy for them to get into hot water. Sometimes they can even show delinquency, bullying and aggressive behaviour. They are very quick tempered often trying to solve their problem with their fists first. ENTjs are very optimistic and they love life. When they are in dangerous situations, they mobilise all their recourses very quickly and effectively. ENTjs like travel and adventure, especially where love is concerned. They also pay great attention to their physiques.
Meh
I have no idea.
