Default Averages faces of types - visual identification

I was pointed in the direction of this site earlier today:
    http://www.faceresearch.org/
It allows you to create "average" faces by compiling several different photos of faces together. Ananke suggested someone do this for specific sociotypes, so I thought I'd try it out. It takes a lot of work to do, so I only did two averages (male and female) for two different types.

Without looking at the filenames, see if any specific types are discernible from these:

I couldn't tell what they were supposed to be and ended up clicking on the file names, lol.

I wonder if this photomashing actually averages out traits such that it's harder, not easier, to discern type. These faces look really bland and characterless to me.

    Cool idea, all the same.
LSI: “I still can’t figure out Pinterest.”

Me: “It’s just, like, idea boards.”

    LSI: “I don’t have ideas.”

That seems very likely. The more you average faces out the more 'character' and individuality they lose. I would say that there are definitely some noticeable differences between the two type-mashes, although it may be hard to tell their specific types nonetheless.

FWIW, the two top photos do seem very IP and the bottom two do seem EJ.

I'll guess ISTj (top, dunno why) and ENFj (bottom, since the dude looks like Dennis Hopper).

Actually the more I look at them, the more I see them as actually representing the types of their composite people. I should do more of these. Later.

That site is great for creeping out your S.O with what your future baby will look like.

    Default Average faces

There's this site where you can make average faces:

    http://www.faceresearch.org/

Post your average faces here. I know a lot of SEIs, so I made an SEI face. I'm curious to see whether there will be distinguishable differences between the types.

    SEI
    4 male, 5 female

Wow! The LSE one actually looks a ton like a woman I work with that's LSE.

You guys are on to something.

But I think averaging males and females separately would be more practical.

I would do that, but unfortunately my sample sizes are pretty small. You need 8 or so people to get a really good average.

    Other comments:

The ESE one is very enthusiastic and eager. The eyebrows are higher. Some socionist pointed out VI works because certain types use certain facial muscles more, linking higher eyebrows to use of ethics.

The SEI one is rather receptive and calm, but still has an expressive feel to it. I'm really impressed by how well these turned out.

I'm honestly not seeing much of a difference between the ISFp and ESFj ones, except that the ISFp looks a lot younger. It would help a lot if the faces took up more of the image file so we can get a more detailed look.

Yeah, the big mess at the bottom is annoying. I'll try to crop them better in the future.

I agree they're similar, but the expression in the eyes is different.

Expressive like the first two, but definitely spacier. More subdued than ESE.

It looks like he was doing that with famous people? These are all people I know.

Wow, the eyes really look different. It could be because more of the ESEs were smiling, though.

That second pic don't work yo. Try saving it to your account then linking it.

Also I'm using primarily famous people, but if I need to fill a type out with people on here/people I know then I'll do that. Haven't done that very much though. It shouldn't even matter if they're celebrities or not, so long as they're typed correctly and there are good photos of them it should all come out roughly the same.

The accuracy of your celebrity typings is very questionable IMO.

With people you've actually met, chances are you have an order of magnitude more data to use.
