    Default I think I'm an sp/so...

Definitely dominant sp. so seems slightly more likely than sx, based on descriptions...is there an easy way to conclude one way or the other?

These descriptions of the stackings are the most concrete, I think.

I got sx/sp because someone rather close to me sagely observed that I am rather troubled and brooding and blah di blah (seriously, is there a way of saying that that doesn't sound ridiculous? :/)

Yeah, I watched two whole seasons and kept thinking it might get better...no. I think the only reason I watched so much was because I kind of liked Ray's brother...but the rest of them? crazies. Deborah was okay, too, but...why the heck does she not walk out on that guy?

I wouldn't call you "brooding" in any sense of the word, haha. You don't fit the sx/sp description on there at all from what I can tell: you seem much more, uhm, "pleasant" on a regular basis. Like you've never come off as particularly troubled or self-absorbed as sx/sps are prone to presenting themselves.

But yeah, that description makes sx/sps seem like they're in a constant state of depression

To try another perspective, perhaps your sx and so instincts are about equal.

Another idea is to consider which area you value and think about the least.

Do you mean those two things to both be applied to the same instinct, or each to a separate instinct?

Anyway. The reason I'm kinda thinking that sx is probably the least important to me, is that I really don't feel all that dependent on other people to be happy. I mean, I love my family and they do make me happy. But, I always imagined I could have ended up living single on my own my whole life and still been pretty happy.

I mean see if they both fall to one instinct. I never did come to a conclusion about my own instinctual stacking, nor do I care to, but I did realize I was focusing a great deal on the social arena despite valuing it hardly at all.

I think the sexual instinct makes you more focused on intimacy, not necessarily needing people to be happy. FWIW, I think what you've said is unrelated to instincts because instincts are more about how you move to secure your survival. What do you turn to, social(status)? Sexual(intimacy)? Self?

I say this because there are discussions of people having a push-pull with others, some getting involved quick but wanting out, some wanting to know that they are connected but not needing to have social interaction, some needing frequent engagement but not really connection, etc.
