Part of the sorting problem will be to determine WHY a person has problems converting from one system to the other:

Case A: person adheres to one particular type description more than the other (text only) but has no deep knowledge or understanding of the functions (case of j/p indetermination in both systems, assuming the first 3 dichotomies are identical and not skewed/mixed) ex: one adheres to INTJ but another to INTP only due to details in text descriptions

Case B: person adheres to MBTI function order in a description and think there should be a j/p switch (case of rational analysis fighting against anomalies) ex: person under-looking descriptions trying to make sense / be logical.

I could see more cases but anyway, knowing the level of knowledge the user has and what makes him think he is one type more than another in one system should be taken into consideration.

For instance if the user took a fake MBTI 40-questions online test only once and identified only lightly to the result, the form could safely invite him/her to discard that result and pass a real socionics test (with url(s)) altogether...

    See what I mean?

    Aleksei:

Interesting but you spot several cases of I/E switches too...

Thus far the only ones I've witnessed around me were debunked at some point, but they all revolved around an introvert wishing he/she was more extroverted and forcing himself in extroverted operation mode for better social fitness/integration.

How much frequent is it? I'm saying that because Ganin's article is more for the 1:1 match for "E" types side.

I've never seen people scoring "I" but proving to be "E" thus far, but I can understand it for the ENFp case for instance. In fact no, I don't agree with your chart here because as an IEI I identify way more to ENFj (my mirror) than to ENFp (my contrary, even if having the same function order translates in very strong similitudes in motives aka same algorithm but different vector angle)

KeroZen, I'm not saying INFp and ENFp are the same type, or even close to it. What I'm suggesting is that the way ENFP works in MBTI brings it closer to Beta than Delta NF. As I'm using a stylus to type this out I'm not particularly inclined to type out a treatise as to why (that'll come in due time), but suffice it to point out the difference, that I'm ENFP in MBTI. And no, Crispy, this is not up for debate.

On I/E switches, I was just comparing subtype descriptions (Gulenko's descriptions to be exact) to what MBTI type they sound like. Generally speaking though, Fe-creatives are very weakly expressed introverts, so they go with either weakly-expressed introverts (ISFP), or weakly-expressed extroverts (ENFP). INFPs are generally a tad too withdrawn for a proper fit.

What do these signs mean—, , etc.? Why cannot socionists use symbols Ne, Ni etc. as in MBTI? Just because they have somewhat different meaning. Socionics and MBTI, each in its own way, have slightly modified the original Jung's description of his 8 psychological types. For this reason, (Ne) is not exactly the same as Ne in MBTI.

Just one example: in MBTI, Se (extraverted sensing) is associated with life pleasures, excitement etc. By contrast, the socionic function (extraverted sensing) is first and foremost associated with control and expansion of personal space (which sometimes can manifest in excessive aagression, but often also manifests in a capability of managing lots of people and things).

For this reason, we consider comparison between MBTI types and socionic types by functions to be rather useless than useful.

    SLUEI
(3.8% of women; 3.5% of men)

Um, don't they have anything nice to say about SLUEI? Come on, there must be some upside to it. The other thing is, the test I took was ridiculously short, about 3/4 of my responses were in the middle (not extreme), and my results were very close to the middle overall, with the exception of emotional stability. I think I can say for sure I'm "limbic" and "inquisitive," and the others are in doubt.

prone to addiction, often late, does not think things work out for the best, impatient, discontent, negative, opinionated, acts without thinking, preoccupied with self, easily frustrated, not that interested in others, act at the expense of others, becomes aggressive when they feel hurt, acts wild and crazy, frustrated and angry when people don't live up to expectations, slow to forgive, takes charge, does not behave in way that is acceptable to society, pessimistic, agnostic/atheistic tendencies, not usually happy, not calm in crisis, does not accomplish work on time, spontaneous, not on good terms with everyone, demanding, misbehaved, improper, avoids responsibilities, not willing to let things rest, acts out frustrations on others, has a need to maintain high levels of excitement, rarely prepared, often bored while working, aggressive, asks questions nobody else does, hard to reason with, likes to be the center of attention, acts without planning, retaliatory, asks many questions, quick to correct others, more pleasure seeking than responsible, not hard working, disorganized, loses things, unable to control cravings
At least my career and hobby are on here:

    favored careers:
author, freelance writer, philosopher, playwrite, novelist, memeber of the performing arts, poet, screenwriter, film director, philosophy professor, actor, entertainer, filmmaker, film producer, creative director, theater industry, music journalist, actor, broadcast journalist, activist, music performer, art director, songwriter, travel writer, english professor, artist, editor, arts and media industry, egyptologist, art curator, theater teacher, pschoanalyst, film critic, diplomat, journalist, freelance artist, dictator, college professor, dj, composer, comedian, psychotherapist, photojournalist, tv producer, music producer, casting director, magazine editor, bookseller, record store owner, comic book artist, museum curator, entertainment lawyer, news anchor, political analyst, book editor, sociologist, political scientist, film editor, theologian, dancer, archeologist, clinical psychologist, international relations specialist, advertising executive
And many of the jobs I would never in a million years do are also here:

    disfavored careers:
child care worker, nurse, office worker, adminstrative support, office manager, sporst management, medical assistant, executive assistant, pediatric nurse, secretary, accountant, athletic trainer, physician assistant, personal assistant, early childhood educator

    RCUAI or something.
Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.

I did the short 40 questions test.

    Big Five Test Results

The Big Five is currently the most accepted personality model in the scientific community. The Big Five emerged from the work of multiple independent scientists/researchers starting in the 1950s who using different techniques obtained similar results. Those results were that there are five distinct personality traits/dimensions. Here are your results on each dimension:

Extroversion results were medium which suggests you average somewhere in between being assertive and social and being withdrawn and solitary.

Orderliness results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, random, scattered, and fun seeking at the expense of structure, reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Emotional Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Accommodation results were medium which suggests you are moderately kind natured, trusting, and helpful while still maintaining your own interests.
Inquisitiveness results were high which suggests you are very intellectual, curious, imaginative but possibly not very practical.

RLUEI description and favored careers seems to fit a little better.
Important to note! People who share "indentical" socionics TIMs won't necessarily appear to be very similar, since they have have different backgrounds, experiences, capabilities, genetics, as well as different types in other typological systems (enneagram, instinctual variants, etc.) all of which also have a sway on compatibility and identification. Thus, Socionics type "identicals" won't necessarily be identical i.e. highly similar to each other, and not all people of "dual" types will seem interesting, attractive and appealing to each other.

    I get RLOAI.
withdrawn, loner, not wild and crazy, does not like the spotlight, worrying, crowd averse, afraid to draw attention to self, easily hurt, fearful, prone to low physical fitness, fears mistakes, prone to health problems, hard to get to know, risk averse, unable to speak up for self, becomes overwhelmed by events, not self confident, depressed, embarrassed by praise, prefers organized to unpredictable, apprehensive about new encounters, not good at telling jokes, easily intimidated, quiet around strangers, socially unskilled, easily offended, avoids being a bother to anyone, anxious, plays it safe, not spontaneous, some attraction to things associated with sadness, easily discouraged, apologetic, private, requires lots of time alone to recharge, self loathing, avoidant, second guesses self, low energy level, values solitude, not physically affectionate with most people, not competitive, lonely, hesitant, thinks before acting, not aggressive, very clean, feels unattractive, stressed, proper, values rules and regulations, plain, avoids small talk, resigned

I wouldn't say I'm "easily hurt" or "self loathing." I admit it can be difficult to speak up for myself but I do if I'm pushed. I think my jokes are OK. I wouldn't say I'm difficult to get to know. I've never considered myself or been told I'm easily offended. I can be competitive. Don't think I'm particularly clean. Don't know what "proper" means or what it means to value rules and regulations. The rest is fine.

I've been thinking that SLOAN might be the perfect external subtyping system for socionics, even better than psychosophy. Anyways

Extroversion results were moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and private.

Orderliness results were medium which suggests you are moderately organized, structured, and self controlled while still remaining flexible, varied, and fun.

Emotional Stability results were low which suggests you are very worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.

Accommodation results were medium which suggests you are moderately kind natured, trusting, and helpful while still maintaining your own interests.

Inquisitiveness results were moderately high which suggests you are intellectual, curious, imaginative but possibly not very practical.

    Your Global5/SLOAN type is RLOAI
    Your Primary type is Limbic
