    Default Michael Jackson

What do we think Michael Jackson's personality type is based on VI?? I'm really really sorry, I could not resist...

You know, he kind of looks like my Psychology teacher...

Actually... I am not so sure anymore. Not after this picture anyway  . I had my reasons, he does seem to be balancing his physical side Si in quite a literal way... but I really should stop making these pointless type guesses, and sometimes it just happens that VI does not quite seem to be applicable, wonder why...

I do not know, there are so many type claims, and no way to verify any of them. He might well test as INFP, but a lot of INFJs do, and in my opinion for example his control freakish style of organizing his life and work is much more compatible with INFJ than INFP. The same goes for his shyness and the conduct of his private life - he does not seek extroverted sensing. Also just google some pictures of him, his emotions are of quite private nature, in his songs he expresses his own emotions Fi and does not quite posses the confidence to impose his emotions on others that comes from having extroverted feeling, Ethics of Emotions Fe as the second function, a conscious function of authority. On the other hand from very early on he was highly self confident of his own creative powers. This could testify to Ne being a creative function. I would also claim that musical creativity is more about creative intuition and sensing rather than about logic and ethics, but it is just my personal opinion.

I keep seeing on examples for each personality that M.J. is ISFP. I think if he still is ISFP he is a bad example for ISFP personality group .

    Before he got whacked out.

I went to a class on identifying various type of substance abuse and he was an example of someone that used allot of hallucinogens.
    He does seem like Duma
My experance with Dumas is they always have a good grasp of what looks good.
But I think he is way drugged out and does not know what he is doing.

that is what i was getting at. if there is an inescapable appropriation that is required in the act of understanding, this brings into question the validity of socionics in describing what is real, and hence stubborn contradictions that continue to plague me.

I would probably lean toward some sort of IXFx type.

I do however like "Thriller", and "Billy Jean" has a great groove, and he is very talented, especially with that moonwalk

    IXFp, probably INFp.

Extremely talented and very productive in collaboration with Quincy Jones. I especially like his funkier stuff like "Rock With You", "Remember The Time" and "Liberian Girl".

I used to love him when i was younger. Its sad what has happened to him

I agree with others that INFp is possible seeing how vulnerable they can be, especially at a young age. If I was affected from the things that happened in my childhood, you could only imagine how badly he’s been affected (and it shows). He also spends his money feverously and irresponsibly; I think he was in danger of becoming bankrupt a little while ago...
Don't worry about Joy- she says that all celebrities aren't real people. *shrugs* It's not really a reflection on Micheal Jackson specifically.

In the first interview that I posted, his gestures reminded me a lot of my own.
Interesting since BrainTypes says that Micheal Jackson typifies the whole INFP gestures thing...

Default MICHAEL JACKSON = beta friends, beta values

Michael Jackson was Ni-EIE. (Same type as John Lennon, ******... Hell, even me.)

Last night, I saw a special on Larry fuckin King about him.

They were interviewing several people re: his death.

Michael's best friend, Miko Brando, (Marlon's son,) is Se-LSI... His good friends Liza Minnelli is EIE and Usher is SLE.

Michael Jackson lived out his Ni-ENFj delusions of grandeur... For the release of his album HIStory, he floated a 50 ft statue of himself down the Thames River through central London. He coined his own over-blown moniker, "the King of Pop."

Last night on Larry King, his friends remembered him as "focused," and "constantly studying" other performers in attempt to improve and be the best in the world. (It seems that many people would agree that he was.)

Like some other well-known Ni-ENFjs, he was reclusive off-stage... But onstage, almost an "entirely different person," to quote someone from last night's show. (Similar things have been said about ******, and even Freddie Mercury--other Ni-ENFjs.)

all of your posts tow the Socionix photo gallery party line... no original thinking... i may be falling out of love, now that i think of it

    think about what you're saying:

an INFj floating a 50 ft statue of himself down the thames.

you either don't know the subject being typed, or don't know Socionics... I don't think you know either, (demonstrated ad nauseum by what you post on this forum.)

Note around 4:05... You will hear Michael Jackson talk about how, when he performs, the "fans give him energy," he "pulls off of them," and it "makes the performance more aerodynamic..."

In Socionics terms, one could attribute this to either Se (agenda) or Fe (base...) Certainly not, as Archon Alarion above writes, Si, Fi, Ne, or Te. (None of those functions explain what he says, why he's saying it, or how he's saying it.)

(Later on in this footage, Michael sings a song that's chorus is "I can do anything")

At 5:40 Michael explains what he means by "creating magic" while performing... "wonderment, the unexpected, escapism, creating something that's so incredible, an illusion... to put ppl in a situation and give them the opposite... so much more than what they thought would happen... Just blow their minds"

This is an Fe expression (how he's saying it--with emotional emphasis, and also who's Fe he's hoping to influence, his audiences',) of Ni creative, (the quote above.) Ni used to produce Fe... this is an example of the Socionics model in action: creative function in service of the base function = FeNi.

I have to go so I'm not gonna finish analyzing this thing... If anyone else is competent, and wants to do it, please do... This is look.to.the.sky's suggestion... Maybe ppl can learn this way.

he seems like a pretty clear example of INFp. And that is his stage persona. When interviewed he's much quieter.

He reminds me of INFps I've known. And MJ even seems a bit like Obama, so I could see them both being INFps.

That is pretty persuasive, Starfall... I'm on the fence 50/50 about MJ's type now, Fe-IEI or Ni-EIE...

Almost all of MJ's friends are beta, or Gammas subtyped in the direction of beta.
