Default The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

    Anyone seen the movie?

The girl is totally an ISTp and the guy an ENFp. I didn't like the rest of the movie, but that part was nice.
    Hi! I'm an ENFP. :-)

I'm watching the David Fincher remake right now and I was thinking SLI for the girl and IEE for the guy as well.
The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

I only watched the original version, from Sweden. Was the Hollywood remake any good?

I saw the Swedish version first. I like David Fincher but it did sort of seem like an unnecessary movie. I don't think its worse than the original at least. Its pretty good.

I didn't see the movies but I did listen to the audiotapes of the books. The girl seems to me to be so obviously ILI and the reporter so obviously SEE.

Probably ILI-> SLI transformation makes it more appealing movie material.
