what does this mean: "We are not going to reveal the mechanism of the test – it is our know-how."

does it mean it is impossible to reveal the mechanism of the test, or does it mean that you choose not to reveal the mechanism?

I imagine it could be considered intellectual property. If one had developed a particularly accurate testing method it could be marketed.
